We absolutely loved staying here. A charming hotel in a great location, so close to yummy food and easy to get quick and cheap Grabs from to go elsewhere. The bed was very comfortable, shower fantastic and the hotel was very clean. Free guest self-service laundry was a handy bonus. My only issue was with the hours the rooftop was available. The place is called the M ROOF hotel, you’d think they’d make the most of it! But it’s only open 8am-7pm, and that’s where the pool, gym and laundry all are. Why?! It’s not like they have a lifeguard on duty?! The area is so pretty with great views and lovely lights but you can’t even use it at night to see them? And who wants to do their laundry during the day? I would absolutely stay here again if in Ipoh once more, I was just frustrated that the main reason I booked it — the rooftop pool — had such limited opening hours. Added points to the staff for taking a photo and messaging us to check on clothes and books we left behind. We had done so deliberately, but what wonderful service to follow up on that.

Professional staff
The staff were welcoming and professional. The bed was comfortable and the rooms are well appointed. After checking out I realised I had left my travel wallet in the room (8 hours after checking out). My travel wallet contained my passport, significant amount of cash, travel cards etc. I rang the hotel who contacted room service. They had my travel wallet which I collected and found fully intact. Thankyou MRoof staff for your excellent service.

Nice looking hotel, fast easy check-in & check-out. Amenities & facilities are fully equipped, room has a Dyson hair blower. Need to improve on room cleanliness especially dust, I was sneezing & dripping from the nose. The room 504 where I stayed had a slow air-conditioning, can't feel the coldness. Love the private parking area just for guests, the entrance to it is a little confusing during night

Security staff were excellent in solving some parking issues I encountered due to a wedding reception taking place. Reception staff were extremely helpful in advising us the best way to get around and directed us to a hawker centre across the road. Housekeeping needs improvement on cleanliness especially on vacuuming the room (crumbs from previous day still on the floor)

Overall good stay
It was a good stay. Room was spacious, and front desk service was great. Only comment is that the water pressure and water temperature fluctuates hugely when taking a shower. Hope the plumbing gets checked and fixed for future guests.

Hotel was perfect. Modern, clean, helpful staff, excellent view of Ipoh city and free parking on site. It is also within a 5 min drive to eating areas. The only thing that the hotel can’t seem to solve is the water pressure on the 10th floor and the hot water. It fluctuates between low and high pressure and the water is at most lukewarm.

Not recommended at all
Photos look good, but the actual property is rundown. Spider webs along the hallway. Hair on toilet floor. Wall paint poorly done. I spent my NYE there and there was nowhere in the hotel for countdown, no bar and no alcohol allowed in public places. I asked room service for a wine opener and they asked me to bring the wine downstairs to the restaurant to uncork.

Nothing special.
Decent hotel at a decent price. Pool area was always noisy and overcrowded, therefore the elevator floors was always wet from people coming out of the pool. The hotel offers 3 washing machines and 2 dryers. Dryers are always busy. Didn’t really enjoy our stay here, would probably not be back.

Stayed a second time with M Roof and this occasion had a 10th floor room which was a bit of let down compared to the room on the 6th floor. This room was not as nice in cleanliness and maintenance. Can’t fault the friendly and politeness of staff. Would definitely be back again.

Parking was convenient, easy access for attractions and local food. Hotel environment and design was properly chosen. Check-in/out at the lobby was swift. Room is in good condition. Area of improvement would be the cleanliness; throw pillow of the room that I stayed-in has an unpleasant odor. The bathroom sink was semi clogged. For some reason the housekeeper's cart was parked in front of the room I'm staying during my entire stay, that could've been handled better.

Stayed in Room 607 and 608 which are connected. Overall room cleanliness was good. Poor upkeeping in the room such as broken wardrobe (607), downlight at room entrance was not working (607 & 608), choked shower room drain pipe (608)
