Avoid like the plague unless completely broke
What a terrible experience! Had to leave after 1 night. Lost a day in Jaipur to look for a new place. Electricity flickered, no lift, no internet and dirty bathroom! Old broke AC on window and you feel dust, smells, noise and cold air from the street on 3rd floor. No hot water, unless you ask and no pressure in the shower. Paid for a delux room-what a joke and disappointment-never again!

Nice hotel in very inconvenient location
This hotel has a lot of character and the staff is very helpful but the location is so bad - difficult to find, hard to get to, etc. - that I can't recommend it. I also had a bad experience checking in, with the proprietor denying - vehemently - that I had a paid reservation before finally seeing that I was right. After this very strange and annoying start things got much better.

Fantastic value for money family hotel
Very nice family run hotel! The owner and his sons made us feel very welcome. Room was clean and big. We couldn't get a taxi one night so the owner personally drove us. He also helped with our onwards travel plans. Would definitely recommend and good value for money. Home cooked food was delicious and the staff were always helpful and nice.

Very nice place with friendly staff
Very friendly staff and very interesting interiors. It was really nice to stay there. The Hotel is located not very close to the center of Jaipur but you always can take a tuk-tuk: it's cheap.

This place is like a mini palace. Nicely decorated with frescoes on every walls. Nice four poster beds and it's run by a family hence excellent service. Only downside is that it's little out of town but if you looking for peace and quiet then it's for you. Highly recommended.

Baba Haveli,. Heritage Style,... budget Acco
This Hotel is in the typical Rajasthani Design with wall paintings, but is not an old building, so dont go b the 'Heritage' tag,. its just in that style,.. Very pleasing and welcoming staff, abd rooms just compact size for short stay to the budget. 20 mins from the Chand Pol gate of the pink walled city.

Nice homely atmosphere..n ambience
Was nice and secure feeling staying at the rather newly created haveli! But the presence of a main road at the entrance was a bit of put off. Otherwise the entire booking etc procedure at the Hotels'com site was really convenient and hassal free.

Friendliest Staff in India
The manager of this hotel was so attentive and kind that it made my trip more like visiting family than a hotel. This is a heritage hotel a charm and ambience that you don't get elsewhere. I only stayed here one night, but the place was quiet and comfortable with good food. You can't go wrong with Baba!

Very discomforting to forcefully eat at dininghall
The staff carried the luggage to the dining hall not in the room. Room service was very slow. last order time was 9pm which is quite hassling esp when we reached at 8pm. food was over priced with ltd quantity. we were asked to eat the food in the dining hall not in the room. the main elderly uncle was very rude in tone. i will never ever go again to this hotel. only good part was the room decor. nothing else.

The place was great, though the rooms were a bit cold even when it was warm outside. The staff – a father, his son and some other workers – were very attentive, and we had some of the best food in North India within the confines of the hotel (or on the lovely rooftop deck). It's a little far from Old Jaipur by rickshaw, but the ride isn't too bad. Just make sure you have the address and a map for your driver since most of them didn't seem to know where it was.

I would like to thank Mr Gautam and his kids for a pleasurable experience in Jaipur . He was really nice and he kept the tabs on the staff and kids that the guest are taken care of. I would like to suggest that may be the rooms keys can loose the cow bell key chain just kidding... I would recommend this hotel to anyone travel to Jaipur for it worth the money.

hello friends, its a nice stay at hotel, it is good value for money, cleanliness & condition is good, rooms were a bit small, owner of the hotel were welcoming & were helpful. only one bad experience--- i had a small baby, while traveling we had to keep baby milk with us & whenever milk remains unused we asked hotel owner to get it again boiled & give it to us for my son owner warned me that they don't have policy to do so &we had to buy every time 150 ml milk for baby from their hotel for Rs. 40/- ( though cost of 1 liter milk is Rs. 42/-) & we had to throw the unused milk which is with us, its not a matter of 150ml milk for Rs. 40/- it matter of convenience & wasting of unused milk when we know in our country many babies don't get milk to drink. Other wise every thing was good.

Need to take an auto to the main sights
The room was very clean and nicely furnished. The manager was extremely helpful and made a reservation for me at the next place I wanted to visit. There was a bit of a problem with hot water when I was there. I was told the hotel was 3 km from the old city but it took about an hour to walk it , so I think it was much further

Lovely Indian style hotel and very welcoming owner
The hotel is very well decorated and well fursnished. The 2 issues are the location (quite far from the city centre but it is a quiet place to stay) and the barhroom was not really working, because the shower lacked pressure and there were no hot water. But the staff is really kind and welcoming. One of the best hotel in our trip in India.

A Must Stay!!!
I originally planned to stay one night but ended up staying three nights. You know that you are in a first rate establishment when the owner is on site. In this case, Vijay treated me more like a family member than a guest. From the moment I arrived, Vijay did everything in his power to make me feel at home. He was always willing to just sit with me and discuss everything from family to politics, while always seeming to offer insight in the Indian culture. Additionally, he went above and beyond any normal hotel operator when I had issues with an unruly taxi driver. He even helped me track down my lost credit card, even though he had other personal plans for the evening. In short, if you want a simple hotel, you can go anywhere. But if you want a true FINE establishment, I would highly highly recommend Hotel Haveli!!!

Only in an emergency stay here
The air conditioning in your room, even after changing rooms barely works, need the overhead fan blowing full speed to sleep. No air any where else in building, miserable to eat and use computor. No wifi, no coffee in the lobby as stated, only if you order it and pay for it you can drink it in the lobby. Hardest beds in the world, like sleeping on the floor. Friendly staff. Long ways from everything and on no bus lines.

Well designed new hotel combines modern amenities with traditional type rooms and building. The rooms and communal areas are well designed and maintained. Breakfast is tastey and served on the delightful rooftop terrace. The owner and his son are friendly and helpful. Will stay again next time I visit Jaipur.

Good value Homestay
Hotel is int he far north west of the city but only a short autorickshaw ride to the centre. The owner is very friendly and the hotel is of a good standard. Rooftop restaurant has great views of the city. Price for the rooms is good value. Rooms got quite cold at night due to marble floors. Reasonably noisy but quite by Indian standards. Would recommend to others.

Could have been nice...but...
Lovely and comfortable rooms but the food was terrible and service not so good. No hot water was available unless you went down to the reception to ask for it (as the phone dint work!!) and considering it was winter and quite cold this was very annoying. There was building work happening so there was constant hammering.

Mixed feelings
It's hard to review this hotel fairly, in general the rooms were nice and the decor is unique and interesting. The food was good and the hotel is good value for money. Most of the staff are helpful and I can see why the hotel gets generally positive reviews. However, we found that in spite of the owner telling us to "make ourselves at home" we were often told that reasonable requests were "impossible" and we felt that we could not really be comfortable when our every move was being monitored on CCTV, and subsequently commented on, by the owner. There were constant power and water shortages and I didn't have 1 hot shower in the duration of my 4 day stay. Our rooms were not cleaned at all during this period. The local area isn't ideal, but that's true of most hotels in Jaipur. Overall, I'd say this place is fine for a 1-2 night stay, but not for any longer.

Just okay
Its a great place for what you pay. But dont expect anything fancy. I payed the super deluxe room and it was facing the noisy road. My shower was cold and what made me feel really bad about this place is that I got charged 5000 rupees to take me to Agra, which I later found its a 3000-3500 rupee ride in a really good AC car. So I and got overcharged for the drive to Agra and other Jaipur city tours. If you stay here, just follow your own itinerary.

Very good value for money
The hotel is located near the royal police academy (thus the acronym RPA, which I would encourage Hotels.com and the hotel to spell out in full) in a nice residential neighbourhood, which I like. However if you are looking for a hotel that is right smack in the old city of Jaipur or within walking distance, this hotel isn't. Must take auto rickshaw which should bring you to where the action is in about 10 - 15 mins. The hotel owner is very hospitable. Only thing is the hot water runs out fast and the shower wasn't great. I used the pail mostly.

Friendly hostel
The staff are friendly. The owner even phoned me before I departed to airport just to say hi and sorry that he couldn't meet me since he was away to New Delhi. the only available computer is in the receptionist. They allowed me to use it free of charge, but the connection was bad. The hotel is situated in quite suburban Jaipur, quite neighborhood, but quite far from the centre of the city. But for me is fine since I had a rental car with driver. They serve a lunch with fresh ingredients, that's why It couldn't be prepared in fast time. The bathroom is very clean and I love the interior of my room. It's decorated and furnished in indian style

Great hotel, value for money
We travelled around Rajasthan for a month in February and March 2011. This was one of the best hotels we'd stayed in. Our room was clean, the service fast and the experience perfect. We found the staff to be helpful, the manager to be a gentleman and the fact that the hotel was a short ride from the centre of town ideal for us. What made the whole experience even more memorable was the welcome and the family atmosphere you feel when entering Hotel Baba Haveli. We both recommend staying here as it's safe, clean and value for money.

Hotel Baba Haveli - Worth Finding
These folks went of the way and allowed me to check in early (6:30 AM). The location is a little bit off the main drag but close enough to the pink city that 100 Rs gets you to any gate. Take a card when you leave and you'll be able to get back fine.

Hotels.com

Really good place, awesome owners.
The arrival was good, owner super nice and his sons also! The room was clean and nice, really hot water and good wifi. But the beds is really hard but it was okey for us. The hotel is beutiful on the inside and the front. Food was good and prices fair. They help you with everything you need and if u need private car to another place they have really fair price. All rooms is different some are more quite than other ones. Really cheap for what you get. Around the hotel there is only small shops for snacks and soda, use uber app in jaipur for taxis its really cheap and better than tuktuks. Just book it if u want a cheap good place to stay, one of the best ones we stayes at so far in India.
