This was my second time staying here and, as per usual, it was a great experience. My only caveat, as last time, is with the incredibly loud music emanating from the nearby rooftop bars and restaurants. You can't get any sleep until 1am-ish, when they stop the music. Other than that, it's all great and incredibly well located.

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the center of everything. The staff is really nice and very friendly. My only concern is the bathroom, which is outdated. They have a huge, slippery bathtub that is not easy to get in and out of, especially with my hip problem. The breakfast is ordinary, with nothing special about it. There are no significant changes in the items served, and sometimes it is cold. Additionally, the bakery goods are not fresh.

I have stayed in Istanbul many times over my years for pleasure and work but I have never experienced finding cockroaches, especially in what is suppose to be a 4 star hotel. I finally chose Mamara Pera due to its convenient location and the price was fair which included breakfast. The staff are luke warm but everything did go smoothly at check in. We checked into the 10th floor. The rooms are looking tired and decor needs attention. My biggest complaint is coming back to our room to find a half dead coachroach on its back on the floor. I called management and they offered to change our room. In the frantic move and packing, another large, very lively cockroach jumped out and onto our bed. At this point I couldn’t contain my disgust. I spoke to management and they only apologised and left me feeling very disappointed. I would not recommend this place, FULLSTOP! There are many other options that would be a better choice. STAY CLEAR IF YOU DONT WANT TO COME FACE TO FACE WITH GIANT COCKROACHES!

The staff at the lobby are horrible. They look down on you if you arent nicely dressed. They were having attitude toward us starting from check-in til checkout. The rooftop restaurante, the guy by the door, was very rude and discriminating. We walked up to him to see if we can dine there for dinner (we just barely came back from sightseeing in jeans and sneakers). He said reservations only. We asked when can we dine if we make a reservation now. He dogged at us and said, it is a fixed menu restaurante (meaning it is expensive). We are from San Francisco. Everything are expensive. He "tossed" the menu to my friend ( it was only $110 per person). I said to my friend, lets just go in and eat. The guy said, you cant eat here. There is a dress code. I told him we want to make a reservation. I was pissed already because he thought we are low life and cant afford it. My friend told him that we arenstaying at this hotel at executive floor suites. He said it doesnt matter. We knew he didnt want us in regardless even if we dressed up. Shortly after, the manager walked out with a couple who wore jeans!!! If this isnt discrimination, what is?!

The gate keepers have obvious condescending attitude toward chinese asian. The roof top rest host had the worst tone and unprofessional verbal expressions. Even a few friendly staff, like Kardiv, are helpful and welcoming, but the experiences received from the gate keepesr and roof top host make me never like to stay there again

Weather it is suit or not minibar worker doesn’t fill daily, you should inform the reception for filling again and again. Amenities very very low even no leg towels and shower water going upto bedroom. Staffs are helpful but hotel management very very poor.

Great location if you want to stay in the Pera area. The staff are great. Hotel owners need to invest in building maintenance. There is a water/plumbing issue which leaves a mildew smell in hallway and rooms. Furnishings are beginning to look tired. Carpet needs to be replaced ASAP. Fantastic jazz club in the evenings. Great views from rooms and again - staff from Housekeeping to Lobby, Restaurant and Reception are superb. Good value.

This is our second stay in this hotel and this experience was far worse than the first one. There was a problem with the sink in the bathroom and they didn’t fix it (or couldn’t fix it) even tough we report it. The area is very noisy (nearby places play very loud music) and it is difficult to sleep before 2 pm.

Great location with a good price!
This hotel is next to Taksim and close to Galata. Perfect location to hop on the metro and explore Istanbul. Friendly super helpful staff. I have stayed here multiple times.

The service was GREAT from the moment I entered the hotel, all throughout my stay until the moment they got me a taxi to the airport. The staff here are professional and friendly. The roof top restaurant servers amazing food and the bar service is absolutely 6 stars!

There was a paid called parking which was on the street in front of the hotel.. you always have to wait for a vale because they aren’t waiting in the front to wait immediately .. due to parking in the corner ( from a vale) our car was scratched from a taxi- who is responsible for that? The hotel was good, most of the stuff was speaking English, but the parking was terrible, we chose that hotel exactly because they had valet parking, but the public parking I. Front of the hotel looks safer that the valet parking … I wouldn’t recommend if you are visiting Istanbul with a car

I stayed there for the night, Compared to other places I have stayed at, the room could be better. The view however is very good. Probably the best view in the area. That being said, This is the only hotel I have ever been at where there was no Body Soap and Shampoo. both of the bottles were empty, which is really odd! What I was told that I should have called the room service, and they would have refilled the Shampoo and Body Soap, but the thing is when you are short on time, and have already started the shower, and are drenched, will you make a call and wait or just use your own if you have one. I just used my own. That being said, the staff were all very welcoming and courteous. and The hotel has its own unique vibe. Very close to Galata tower, and this was my primary reason to stay here.

This was the second time staying at this hotel, great location and staff for the most part are attentive. My disappointment is upon checking out, the door man watched me standing there while i struggled with three bags to take to my taxi without attempting to support me opening the door as opposed to the Caucasian counterparts whom i observed they were attentive. I had to call this man to come and help me with my bags. I am African American so this was not surprising to me in this part of the world. I appreciate the cleaning ladies, they were pleasant and also the front office young man in both shifts. They were attentive, always had a smile and spot on to requests.

I recommend this hotel to solo travellers and to everyone. The staff were super lovely, welcoming, and made me feel safe. The hotel food is super delicious, and there are plenty of options. Great last minute stay.
Lovely 3 night last minute stay. 17th floor view was beautiful morning and night. Only slight issue was the loud music from rooftop until quite late. Didn’t bother us too much but if you’re a light sleeper beware. Very nice kahvaltı each morning. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful.
