This is an excellent place to stay when you are in Guilin. We had a clean and large room with a view to both Pogodas. Staff is very friendly and responsive. Definitely recommending this place.

Truly excellent house keeping staff especially house keeper no 711. She assisted with laundry and replaced everything I requested. The restaurant is open 24/7. The gym is located on floor 5 and is always clean. There is a large swimming pool on site. All taxi drivers have a speech translator. The hotel over looks the twin towers on the lake and has the best view. Significantly cheaper than the Sheraton hotel.

Can not adjust the room temperature

The aircond was centralized controlled by the hotel and cannot be adjusted from inside the room. We had a couple hot days even in mid Dec and the room was too warm. You can’t change the temperature. The staff did explain the restriction of room temperature control in a polite way but they are not prepared to make it more flexible for clients. The window was also locked and can only be opened or closed by hotel staffs with a special key. We had dinner at the hotel Chineses restaurant for the first evening and the food quality was not so good as a 5-star hotel. We ate outside for the rest of our stay. Gym, spa and swimming pool open from 7am to 7pm. The operating hours seems quite limited. Staffs are polite and nice but User friendliness of the hotel facilities seems not their priority.

A few things of this hotel make me disappointed: plastic hot water kettle is very old and its color has faded which makes me wonder if it is harmful to human health; no bottled shampoo but a cheap shampoo container attached to wall, no conditioner, no facial care kit. Everything looks old. the main elevators is slow and makes noisy. waiting for 10 minute for elevators seems everyday issue. So if you are rash, walk for half around the building to take another elevator which only gets you to the 3rd floor. What I like about this hotel is its LOCATION.

Conveniently located

It was very convenient to go around the pedestrian street with many shops and restaurants. The lakes are just across the road, with ticketing offices to cruise around the river and lakes. When checking in, Mr. Chuen was very helpful in sourcing 3 rooms on the same floor for us as we had elderly and child at different rooms. This was really appreciated. The standard of breakfast was average. Not much variation everyday and the taste was mediocre.

The hotel is old Is time to do some renovation. The breakfast not so good. The location is super good just in front of the famous lake area, easy access to every famous attraction in Guilin city.

It was one of the best experience I has and my family members insisted that I write all beautiful things about this hotel because they felt the same. You can feel that the hotel considered every little details. We were wondering the whole time who designed and managed this hotel. And we were lucky enough to bump into the owner on our last day. She chose all the decorations herself which amazed us. We were first welcomed by the friendly staff at the reception, awed by the view from the room, and touched by the details of the hotel rolm that we noticed during our stay. It was a beautiful experience. Thank you。

Good location. Nice hotel however I had two stays with a one day away in the countryside. Second room was poor. TV and kettle didn’t work. Very little information in room regarding local attractions. Tour desk poor - conflicting information regarding some activities when I enquired on two separate days.

If you’re looking for a great room cheap. Must go.

This hotel was in a great neighborhood, close to the river and all the markets and restaurants. A Starbucks was just around the corner and the mall was a few short blocks away. Unfortunately the waterfall part of the hotel was not working but the staff was great and courteous. Very fast check in and room was big and clean with all the amenities. Great deal, and they exchange money there too. Faster and less work then B.O.C.

Hotel lobby and rooms are nice. Very few staff speak English. Had we not had an individual in our party who spoke fluent Mandarin, we would not have been able to navigate our stay. Also, although we had non-smoking rooms, several hotel guests smoked, but nothing was done to stop the smokers. The spa was clean, but they also allowed smoking. Again, if one did not speak Mandarin, it would have been very difficult to obtain services. Breakfast buffet was separated into Asian and Western. The Asian buffet was not worth the 80 RMB: quality of food was not very good, coffee was cold.

Good location

The hotel is in a great location, close to The sun and moon pagodas. Although on a non-smoking floor there was quite a strong smell of smoke in the corridors which wasn’t very pleasant. The room was good, no complaints. Restaurants in the hotel no atmosphere and food not great. Would stay again because of location but would recommend eating out.

Surrounding activities such as night market, waterfall show, and park across the street make this a great hotel. Rooms are nicely appointed. Spa in hotel leaves much to be desired as multiple people smoke.

Good, except some noise

Our room has no view of outside. The window is looking down to the lobby of the hotel. At staff would be pushing a good trolley across the huge lobby, causing loud noise early in the morning, 5 am. This can be improved. Otherwise, everything is well. Why is the escalator from the street level to the lobby not working throughout our stay? Considering this is a 5-star hotel...

Location is excellent.

In city Centre.Close to shops and restaurants. Room clean and adequate. However local cuisine is very limited in variety.Hotel buffet breakfast is average and OK.

Great Location!

We had a delightful stay at your Guilin Lijiang Waterfall Hotel. The hotel lobby and room were a bit dated, but quite clean and comfy. The surrounding lake and ancient Chinese Pagodas were stunningly beautiful.

Excellent location! Adjacent to many local attractions with a lot of food and shopping within minutes of walking. WiFi was not as enjoyable as it tended to be slow
