"I chose the Standard because the Moxy wasn't available. I needed to be near my son's NYU dorm on 3rd. Ave. The Standard proved to be fantastic and I will definitely return. Rudy at the front desk was really friendly and professional. The parking was explained clearly to me. Rudy gave me an upgrade to a higher floor so I'd have a fantastic view. "The receptionist (a lady) was a bit rude; I understand I was trying to check in early, but there is no need to show a bad attitude toward people who want to spend money at the hotel. Special recognition goes to the cafeteria staff they are amazing and very helpful! Perhaps they should consider working at the front desk! My room had a lovely view but needs a renovation; it looks very worn."
