"Freehand is wonderful! This was our third time staying at Freehand LA. It is in such a great location—very walkable and close to everything! You are downtown yet don’t feel “smothered” in the super busy areas. Our favorite part is the hotel rooftop, where there is a restaurant, great bar and very relaxing pool area (this is called the Broken Shaker). We arrived early and even though our room wasn’t ready, we could safely leave our bags and still use the amenities such as the gym and rooftop. The hotel is in an older building but the renovations and decor give it a nice clean, modern feeling where its charm can be appreciated from both aspects. Thank you for a wonderful experience! "

"The staff was very nice, the historic details were really cool to see, the room was beautiful and in great condition! Our only complaint was that we couldn’t use the jacuzzi or steam room because they were out of order. The pool was so nice!!"
