Officially called Tokyo Disneyland, this was the first Disney park to be built outside of the USA. It was designed by Walt Disney Imagineering in the same style as the theme parks in the USA and opened its doors in April 1983. Over 17 million visitors come to Disneyland each year, making it the second most visited theme park in the world after the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort.
Disneyland has seven themed areas that include classics like Westernland, Fantasyland, Adventureland and Tomorrowland. There are also two parks for the young ones, with the seventh area being the theme park’s primary shopping and entertainment area. There are fireworks shows each night as well as special shows on holidays. Each themed area also has daily shows to entertain park visitors.
There are numerous places to eat in Disneyland, some of which offer fast food and snacks, while others are sit down restaurants. There are also plenty of places to pick up Disney themed souvenirs and toys in the theme park.
