"We really loved this hotel. The room had a proper layout and size of a 4* hotel compared to all other hotels we stayed in Japan. The laundromat and public bath on the 2nd floor gave a home comfort feeling. The coffee and tea spot downstairs is very big and cozy, Distance from Kyoto station is 2-3 min by walk. We used trains and buses during our visit and all were within 3-4 min walk distance. The hotel staff is helpful and does their best to assist their guests. "

"Room was well designed and appointed. It was more spacious than I was expecting. Self check-in/out was smooth. Quiet location 50m from main shopping street with lots of dining options. Kayamachi-dori street was just next to hotel; picturesque and bustling at night, reminding of Amsterdam. Walkable to Gion district (20 minutes). Very polite and helpful staff. Concierge /receptionist ordered a taxi for me and asked me to sit down while she waited outside for it. "
