At check in they tried to charge me for 2 king suites, Manger copped an attitude until i said i didn't have money for 2 rooms. Than she spoke to owner and had me contact Expedia, second room that i didn't reserve was canceled. After our dinner reservation, my husband the seafood plate and he woke up throwing up sick. As were going to shower to get check out there was no hot water and very little pressure. As were packing we realized the room was infested with beetles. We were going to tell the front desk at check out, when they usually ask how your stay was. But when they realized we were checking out we got. Leave your key on the counter and staffed walked away. Was not a great experience, especially for the prices of rooms and food.

The setting is breathtaking no matter what season you are there. The service, however, is lacking. They offer continental breakfast daily (except when there too few guests) but never tell you that or change prices when they don't offer that. The staff was not apologetic nor accomodating when asked about this. No big glaring issues but the small details tend to add up.

We had a wonderful stay. Lack of hot water in the tub. Quickly resolved with a move to another room. We would stay again. Love coastal areas in the winter in Maine.

It’s a very unique old building. We loved the fact that it was not shiny and new. The staff was tremendous, very friendly and accommodating. my wife in particular, and I love the history of old buildings. The two nights we stayed there happened to be too very cold nights. There were strong winds and negative degree chill factors outside. We were warm, cozy in our room, but it made it so the did not do any outdoor activities. We would love to go back again in the summer.
