Perfect location in Ambleside
Perfect location central to all amenities in Ambleside. The room was comfortable and well furnished with quality products. The bathroom was super new with a smart power shower - excellent ! Breakfast was superb with a range of choices of hot/ cold food , would highly recommend

Great location, couple of minutes walk from the restaurants. The breakfast was excellent, clearly using best quality produce. There's an EV charging point just around the corner. The guesthouse parking is about 5 mins walk away by the main carpark.

Fantastic
Fantastic stay! Very clean room, centrally located and great breakfast. Tracy and Kevin were helpful with maps and suggestions for hikes. I did not bring a car and the bus stop was 2 min walk from the guest house. I was able to get to everywhere I needed. Will definitely be back

Exceptional Accommodation
We stayed for 7 nights B&B. Our accommodation was very clean, complete with absolutely no issues. Our hosts Kevin & Tracey are a lovely couple who, when required, between them seemed always available with very helpful words of guidance on any given aspect of holiday break. A truly exceptional Guesthouse in the centre of a lovely village. We will certainly be revisiting Tracey & Kevin when we get back to the Lake district.

Lake District Visit
Absolutely nothing to say negatively about Melrose House. Our room was spacious, updated bathroom, quiet, comfy king-sized bed, and wonderful breakfast options. The location in the middle of town was quite convenient. Parking is a bit away from the guesthouse, but there are options to bring the car closer, if needed.
