Just like home!!
I absolutely loved my stay at this beautiful B & B. Warm, inviting, kind, cheerful...It felt just like home!! The food, scenery and hostess were Amazing. It was a wonderful start to my vacation in New Zealand. I would absolutely recommend this B & B and hope I have another chance to spend time here again. A little note on the side... At the time when I was booking this B & B with this site, VRBO, I did not realize this is an American owned company and therefore the price is in U.S. dollars. Being a Canadian, I paid a huge exchange rate for my stay here. VRBO also takes payment up front at your time of booking. They were the only one of my accommodations that did that. Just something to keep in mind... Otherwise honestly my stay here was so worth it!!!

Lovely peaceful stay
It's an absolutely lovely setting to stay. Very peaceful and a beautiful room with an incredible view. Breakfast was very nice--organic and Sally was willing to cook what you wanted. The drive up to the B&B was steep so be careful when coming. The room was a nice size and the bathroom was separate from the loo. A nice feature with 2 people staying. A forewarning for older folks--the bed is a futon so if you have trouble sleeping on a futon this might not work for you. It is some distance from downtown so I think you really need a car or be willing to take a bus to get to the central area.

Lovely little spot. In Christchurch but you would never know as it is set up high secluded behind hedges and shrubs. Breakfast was great and the host was a lovely lady

Peaceful setting for a stay.
Very comfortable and relaxing stay on the outskirts of Christchurch. Each day began with a delicious breakfast and friendly conversation with Sally. Access would not be suitable for anyone with a mobility disability. We would recommend this place to couples with a car. We would consider staying here again.

Home away from home
Sally is an excellent host and made me feel very welcome. Good views over the city from the room I had and the very generous bathroom was a delight as was the comfortable bed. Breakfast on both mornings was excellent with some home-made jams to add to the pleasure. You need a car but only a sort drive into the city or Akaroa or if you are going west.

Cosy little cottage in a lovely peaceful setting
We had a very enjoyable stay at Featherstone. Our room was very comfy and we were made to feel most welcome. Our host Sally was wonderfully helpful with her local knowledge and provided a very generous and healthy breakfast. Wish we had planned a longer stay.

very special place
Sally was very friendly and took great care to make us feel comfortable. Her garden was beautiful and filled with flowers and vegetables and fruit trees. Her breakfast was delicious and fresh...much of which came from her garden. A delightful beginning to our trip.

Peace and Quiet
This B&B was very cozy and comfortable, and best of all private. There is a separate entrance right into the main room/bedroom and an ensuite large bath with a great shower which was delightful after long travels and a rainy, chilly day! The owner, Sally couldn't have been nicer or more perceptive. She didn't insist on chit chat - she could see that we were exhausted after a few long days of frustrating travel from the DRC, and was very accommodating. She recommended a fantastic restaurant for dinner where we had one of the best dinners and offered to deliver "breakfast in bed" the next morning. She delivered a very large bounteous tray filled with a lovely continental breakfast with many items being local source/homemade. The room was ample size, clean and very homey, warm, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was large, spacious, spotless and with modern fixtures. We thoroughly enjoyed our rejuvenating stay and would recommend this little B&B to anyone.
