Hidden Gem
Overnight stop on way to Norfolk. A hidden gem, thorougjy enjoyed our stay. Beautiful room, lovely food and friendly helpful staff. Lovely litter country pub. Will definitely stay again when in the area.

Lovely large room very clean, good facilities, excellent towels and bedding. Warm and welcoming. Good breakfast at an extra charge. Staff friendly and helpful. Also dog friendly. Great place to stay.

Accommodation was new and very smart and close to the pub - so easy to access once we'd finished eating and drinking. Beautiful rural pub near Chelmsford easy location to travel out to and worth staying overnight. Thank you.

As an lone, elderly woman I couldn't have been made more welcome. Excellent beer, good pub grub, especially breakfast, and huge comfortable room and wetroom, and a wonderfully quiet location.

Pleasant Inn
We had an overnight stop. The room was nice, it had period furniture and was a nice place to be. The bathroom was very modern and the shower was very good. The towels and soaps were also good quality. The room has underfloor heating which is lovely on your feet but this made the room a bit warm during the night and because of the sash windows we didnt feel like leaving a window undone. The pub was old and quirky, Lovely. The staff were very good, the food was fine with a lot of choice and they had some nice beers.

very comfortable room. food, including breakfast, very good quality, though the menu is a little limited. Drinks are reasonably priced and a good selection. The bar area is very cosy, with a log fire, and the local clientele added to the atmosphere
