Charming Hosts at B&B close to Chama Station
We wanted a comfortable and quiet night close to Chama Station for our trip on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad and the Parlor Car B&B proved ideal. Our charming hosts made us feel really welcome from the start, going to great pains to ensure that we knew where everything was. Lovely breakfast with an opportunity to meet the other guests.

A wonderful option in Chama
It's hard to say what I liked most about the Parlor Car -- the friendliness, hospitality, comfort, decor, or location. Would definitely stay here again.

B&B a few steps of the Cumbres and Toltec RR
We stayed one night at this B&B. It is an old building that has three guest rooms and a lovely parlor and dining room. Our room was a little small, the bed was very comfortable. We had our own bathroom, but it was next to our room so we had to go into the hallway to get to it. The breakfast was freshly prepared and very delicious. The hosts were very attentive and very charming couple.

Elegant Accommodations, Gracious Hosts
We reserved our stay at the Parlor Car B&B while preparing for a trip on the historic Cumbres & Toltec steam railroad. Shortly after we made our reservation, Wendy, the owner, phoned to ask some additional details so that she could prepare a welcome card and to be sure she could accommodate any food allergies or preferences. When we arrived in Chama at the end of our trip, we were very happy to find the B&B was right across the street from the train station (which normally runs only during the daytime). Wendy greeted us, showed us around her beautiful home, told us some history and answered our questions regarding local restaurants. When we returned from dinner her husband Bondsall, who volunteers as a Docent on the railroad, was home and also welcomed us. We slept very well in the beautifully appointed room, and in the morning, over coffee, Bondsall favored us with several fascinating and entertaining stories about southwest and area history, both directly related to the railroad and of general interest. Breakfast was fabulous, wonderfully prepared and served in 1890s fashion on elegant tableware - it was as though we had gone back in time to the glory days of mining and rail travel. We left reluctantly with good wishes from Wendy and Bondsall, and with freshly baked scones for our travels. We will fondly remember our stay at the Parlor Car B&B in Chama, New Mexico, and hope to return there some day.
