The rooms at the front overlooking the main road are noisy from 4am to 11pm so if you are a light sleeper, better to be at the back of the hotel

When I booked the property for Family Room B, the picture showed a room with a chair and a window (City View). The window was the selling point which made me decide to book the room but I was shocked when I arrived that there was no chair, no table, and worst no window at all!!!

They could easily have made this good if...
Room 305 is very nice. Great bathroom and large shower. Nice bed with table and two chairs. We were there a couple of nights and really enjoyed it. It was clean and nice. But then we found the cockroaches. They were crawling over our things we had on the tables. So we moved to 303, a family room. It wasn't as nice. It needed paint repairs and had a smaller bathroom that wasn't as nice or as good of condition. This room also had cockroaches. If they had a good exterminator, and we stayed only in room 305, I would have given a fantastic review. Too bad it was spoiled by cockroaches. We spent a week in a much worse place before this one, and never had a bug problem.

There is no uniqueness in the hotel. There is a cockroach live and dead came from the aircon. I told front desk and they just said ok.. will look for new room for you. Thats it!

Stay away from Capitol Central Hotel!
Extremely disappointed! Bathroom was very dirty & the odor of the room is stinky, beddings nothing else but ordinary sheets. Absolutely won't go back there!

Bit off the beaten track
Pleasant enough. Restaurant difficult to access when it was used as a function room and more organisation needed to make it work for guests and visitors. Informal room service operated which was a bonus. Restaurant good value for money and made up for the location.

Staff wants to double charge me
I booked 2 rooms on Expedia and it was already paid for. On the morning of my checkout, the staff insisted that I haven't paid yet and was going to charge me again for the rooms. I was in a hurry to catch the ferry so I didn't have time to argue with the staff. I left my email so they can contact me if there is any problem. Good thing I was able to catch the ferry on time. I double checked with Expedia and they confirmed that the rooms were already paid for. Tip: Confirm on check in that the room was already paid for.

Satisfactory. Clean beddings, but no slippers and cabinets to keep clothes. Needs some improvements in terms of noise reduction in rooms facing the streets. Not for tourists coz there were no tourist information desk.

Worth the price :)
First and foremost, I'd like to commend the very accommodating staff. They were professional, courteous, easy to approach and helpful. Rooms were decent considering how cheap we got them; clean & orderly. Cabinet space could be bigger and the commodities provided such as the free toothpaste and shampoo should reflect the number of guests per room (i.e. 3 towels =/= 4 guests). This was something easily remedied though with room service. Our booking did not include the breakfast so I could not say the worth of that. However, we managed to eat at the pension restaurant on our second day in the afternoon. Prices were not too steep and the servings were plenty. An example of this is the spaghetti we ordered, priced around 150, which could serve 2 people. The neighborhood is completely safe. I managed to walk the road at around 12 AM of our last night. It's a busy road so people were still out and about, lots of restaurants and convenient stores accessible with a little walking too. The biggest problem you'd probably face is the heavy traffic. Once rush hour kicks in, it's almost impossible to get a taxi (Grabbed or Not). Jeepneys are also full at this time sadly. To summarize: The rooms were comfortable. The area was safe and well-lit at night. Crew and service was also nice. Will book again if I'm looking for someplace CHEAP, SAFE and NEAR the places I want to go to.

Ok hotel in Capitol central area
The hotel is alright but very noisy from Escario Street. Staff was very helpful except for the fact that we paid for a room with breakfast and they said it didn't come with breakfast after all. Internet was good. Bed was comfortable and for Cebu standard and the price it was a good option for a couple of days.

affordable but mediocre hotel
right at the start, the reception staff told us upon arrival at the hotel that we do not have a reservation. Good thing we printed a copy of the voucher from Expedia's website. On the second day as we are out travelling, we received a text from one of their staff asking us if what time will we be going back to the hotel, as according to them we must check-out in order to avoid being charged additional rates. That was the just the 2nd day, we have booked the room for four days! Apparently, the receptionist had placed our reservation for just one day instead of four. Seriously, their reservation and booking processes are so messed up! This is one thing that will turn off hotel guests about booking their stay for the second time around. And one more thing, the hotel room we stayed in did not have cabinets or closets inside the room. So goodluck placing all your clothes, baggage, etc. And lastly, the TV does not work! We did not bother informing reception about it as we do not intend to watch tv during our trip, but to those of you who are used to television - you have been warned!

Hotel is in the city centre. Service from afternoon shift receptionist wasn't the best. We asked to be moved to another room since there was no Internet connection, but got no room as th3 answer where when we asked the morning receptionist she told us that we can have a look at a few rooms they've available (we went out then cam3 back late). Room has no table so if u do room service u'll b3 eating on the floor. When u shower u can smell the drain. Towels smelled like bleach (heavily).

Hotel with reasonable price!
The hotel is very accessible to your needs as a tourist since it is located in the center of the city. They have accommodating and helpful staff who will attend to your needs. The room is clean as well though we got problem with the shower and the noise outside. Wifi is not much stable inside the room so it is better to surf the net in their restaurant. They also have good food :)

The property is located in front of Cebu Capitol, and a few minutes walk from Fuente Circle, Robinson's Cybergate, Mango Square, the hospitals - and right beside it are vendors of fresh fruits, and good restaurants and cafes that delighted my wife. Their superior room speaks for itself - superior, yet still, at a much cheaper rate than any other hotels nearby. Comfortable bed with thick mattress, fast internet connection, a clean fridge, a small closet, working table and TV with clear cable channels. The hot water as well as the AC are working just fine and quietly for a restful night after going around the area. The bathroom is just right-sized, but complete with toiletries, even with toothbrush and toothpaste! The breakfast was filling and tasty, I could have given it a perfect score if the personnel was less clumsy... though she replaced the dropped toast, to make up for it, and should there been a food menu in the room. They all served us professionally and with a smile.

Room was a let down. No view as window faced a wall. Air conditioner was weak and water from shower was too highly treated. Made skin very dry though at friends place down the road no problem. Recommended only as a business hotel not a comfortable long term stay.

Simple, Affordable and Excellent
I booked for a deluxe room in Capitol Central Hotel and Suites through Expedia, and since their deluxe rooms were fully-booked on the day, I was given a free upgrade to a premiere room. The staff are always ready to assist, are very professional and always with smiles. The room itself is clean, from the showers to the inside of the fridge. The bed has a thick comfortable mattress with clean sheets and pillows. The airconditioning unit and the shower's water heater adjust perfectly to the desired temperature. The television got excellent cable tv reception, and we were able to snack-in, bathe, relax and sleep well. A WiFi password was given, as the WiFi signal was strong in the room, yet after personally auditing the wireless network, I found out that its controlled-deployment policies ensure that those who are connected got a good, fast share of bandwidth, but at the expense of having limited users - which may be a source of concern for business travellers who check-in late, and thus are the last (and won't be able) to connect. At the side of the building there are vendors selling fresh fruits and plants, reasonably priced, and is very accessible to public transportation. The hospital, radio station, police outpost, convenience stores and dining places are just a stone's throw away as it is in a central location - secure, yet ones that is away from beggars and suspicious elements.

Very loud at the road, but ok pricewise.
Generally nice for the price. Staff friendly. Room : No light switch at bed side, have to go to the door and then in darkness to bed, easy to fall; curtains do not fill the whole window, No black curtains against sunshine, tourist cannot sleep anymore after 5:30 AM as whole room is full with sunshine. Aircon, cupboard, beds are ok. Bathroom : the door is not cleaned from inside. The water basin has no hot water. Shower handle too short, too reach basin with hot water. No glass- not even plastic - for tooth brush, we got coffee cup. Breakfast : Service takes a long time, starting with giving the menu to customer. No good cook. The beef was over salty. After complain no offer for replacement or deduct from the bill. 400 Peso per person is not worth, what you get. Floors : Dishes in the isles are standing there without being taken ==> bad smell

Good stay
At first we got a room with a fake window. It means, with a wall in front of the window. But after a talk with the reception about my complaint, we could changed the room without any problem to a better one. Anyway, we enjoyed the stay in this hotel but you don't have to expect a high standard. Comfortable enough, clean, near the center (fuente) and kindly staff.
