Overall good. Needs some TLC. And when you reserve a room for two, then you should already have towels for two. You shouldn’t have to carry one set to your room after check in. Additionally, the rooms are advertised with 4 pillows and there were only 2 in our room and they were small.

If you want quiet since there’s no carpet getting upstairs. If you could hear everybody walk around if you have someone above you. The floor wasn’t very clean and no small shampoo or conditioner. Don’t expect a check in an hour early they’ll charge you $30.

Came here for one night to run the Carlsbad 5000. Very convenient, 1/2 walking to the event which is in The Village. Wouldn’t stay here otherwise. Can hear literally everything through the walls. Beds were comfy tho. Small hotel room. For a night stay it’s good. Ladies at the front desk were nice.

The dirtiest smelliest room I’ve ever been in. customer service was great, but it didn’t make up for my room, having ashes all over the place and the stench of cigarette. My bed was probably the cheapest thing I’ve ever laid on, along with the thinnest pillows, ever laid my head on.

I like the staff at the front desk. She was pleasant and answered all our questions. The room prices are very reasonable. This place is about 10-12 minutes walk to the beach. There are stores, banks and restaurants very close by. You can walk pretty much around town. I would come back to this place, and will recommend to friends and family. The room I reserved had two full bed. The room was moderate and clean, the only thing I didn't like was I found a spider on our bed the following morning.

The Carlsbad village inn has excellent location, walkable to the beautiful South California Beach, walking/jogging/running alone the coastal line is a very enjoyable experience. The facilities in the hotel is well maintained and room is well cleaned. There is bunch of shopping and dinning options are around the hotel in this town. Staff is friendly. A few minutes driving distance to Legoland, flower field and premium outlet. Good choice for personal and family travel.

This property has had mixed reviews, but during this stay we enjoyed a perfectly maintained room, convenient and free parking, an optional refrigerator, a nice TV that works, and an all around pleasant room. Plus, the Carlsbad Village location offers a short walk to Carlsbad beaches, numerous restaurants ranging from fine dining to popular fast food, and the Carlsbad Village train station that takes you anywhere from San Diego to points far north of Los Angeles. And the sub-hundred dollar price simply can't be beat.

The staff was good especially Nyree. She went above and beyond. The people upstairs kept me awake most of my last three days not sure what was going on! Housekeeping was there for you when you asked. Towels could have been softer shower in my room was nice and hot

The price seemed too good to be true which it was. There were cracker crumbs on the floor when we arrived. The bathroom had cigarettes burns on the tub and floor. There was a hole on the bathroom door that was covered with a sign. The room overall felt dirty.

I had no problem staying at the property. The problem that I didn't like at the property was the front office when checking in and checking out it smelled terrible. It was too much smell of smoke inside the office lol! I didn't like the smell at all because it was really bad. My room that I was staying in was ok, but I didn't like the ac inside the room. The ac was kind of slow. You couldn't feel air coming out of the ac. The bathroom was clean, but they didn't supply any shampoo or even put lot of towels in the bathroom. I was able to sleep at night but there were some weird noises outside my stay. Looks like there was a homeless person making loud noises for no reason. The area was little bit small. Parking was really small and not that big of a space. I did like my stay at the property, but I feel like it could have been better the area of the property.

A good place to stay for the money you spend.
Carlsbad village Inn is a nice place to stay. The rooms are clean, a dining table to sit and eat. A tv, a closet, and shower/ bath. There's parking available just make sure you get a parking permit. It's a quiet area and safe. This place close to the 5fwy, restaurants, and grocery stores.

Needs to be cleaned up
The place is run down. The bathroom had a hole in the bottom of the wall where I think a water leak must have been. The mattress was stained. The room smelled like musty mold and chemical cleaner. It was obvious that they attempted to paint over damage, but the repairs were poorly done. That said, the heat/ac worked. The curtains were mostly on the hooks. The people who worked there were mostly friendly. The guest with her hair cut short like she took a knife to it and fresh sores all over her face, tried to help us find our room. The man who was sleeping with bags of belongings piled against the wall near him didn't wake up or ask us for money when we walked by. It was apparent that people use this motel for temporary housing, but I wasn't disturbed by noise in the night. Having a sheet, light blanket, and a sheet-like coverlet probably saves on AC bills when it isn't winter-time. It was a place to sleep, and I stayed, but I will not be choosing this place again. I will pay a little more and get a room in a cleaner, more cared-for establishment.

The room smelled of mold. The table had a sticky substance on it. The door would not lock properly. Went out for a few hours and when we can back we could not access the room we rented. Had to go to the office and get new room cards issued.
