The general manager and desk staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The room is outdated but very clean. I would stay there again.

Great Value, Close to 285
Very friendly check-in staff. Lobby and breakfast area decorated nicely for Halloween. Room was large and comfortable, beds comfy, enough pillows, in room coffee. Great water pressure in sink and shower. Nice towels, good TV. Nice continental breakfast to get you started. Wasn’t expecting a lot for the good value of room cost. Great coffee and flavored cream. No price gouging on cost of bottled water and soda sold at front desk. Not far from downtown part of Carlsbad. We visited the Caverns NP and watched the bat flights out of cave, very fun to see.

The carpet was awful. I would not walk on it barefoot Toilet needs fixing, it had a tendency to run. No fresh fuit at the breakfast. The staff from front desk to housekeeping were wonderful. Very helpful getting us around town. It looks like this is an old hotel that needs lots of renovation if they want to compete with the others around Carlsbad.

Room was so hot when we checked in it didn’t cool down until 2am…air conditioner was not on when we entered the room. Generally dirty feel to the room although no obvious stains.

The pool was cold and the pool next door was under construction so we couldn’t get in. The place was very silent and clean.The breakfast was good and so was the beds.

Great value
On a trip to the National Parks, we needed an overnight in Carlsbad. This fit us nicely! The rate was fare and included breakfast of coffee, tea, juices, waffles, bread choices plus toaster and many toppings (peanut butter, cream cheese, jellies). Dry cereals and oatmeal. Refrigerator offered yogurts, cheese sticks, and hard boiled eggs. The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. With a teen, we appreciated the sink area separate from the shower and toilet. The proper looks recently updated, but will need some additional maintenance things in the future. The mes center is across the street and we were treated to watching the helicopter land from our room!! What sets this place apart is the incredible staff. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. And very friendly! We highly recommend.

Comfort at a good price
Staff was great, beds and amenities were great. This was the cheapest price I found at the time of our travel, and its better than paying the higher price cause you get the same thing at this hotel for a way lower price

Save $100 a nite with a few less amenities.
This hotel is a bargain compared to others in the area. It was almost half the cost of three other hotels we normally stay at when visiting family. It's older and not as fancy as the pricier hotels, but the rooms are large and clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is basic-fruit, cereal, yogurt, some pastries, hard boiled eggs, and make it yourself waffles. The rooms and hallways seem quieter than most newer hotels I've stayed at- a definite plus. Tv channels were kind of limited (no HBO), but the wifi was very good. I can do without the few ammenties other properties offer to save $100 a night.

Very friendly welcome. Good sized room with good facilities and excellent breakfast with lots of options. Some noise in the room - possibly from the laundry room? Is it possible to limit the use during nighttime hours.

Clean, comfortable and quiet
My room was clean. My bed was comfortable. Quite neighbors and halls. I had a very late check-in, like very very late. The hotel manager granted me a late check out because of that. Also, after waking I had just missed the breakfast, but the hotel manager was able to let me into the breakfast room and provided orange juice and other dry breakfast goods. I thought that was very kind.

Wow! We only stayed one night but I was impressed with the amenities for the price. Loved that we had more than cable. Access to Netflix and other streaming services. Gym and free breakfast. The breakfast wasn't much, but better than some and better than nothing. It was also very quiet. I had the best sleep The staff as was especially friendly. Would definitely stay again.

It was a great stay!
My son is staying at the US Travelers Inn because his apartment isn’t ready yet. The hotel staff were very welcoming upon our arrival and answered all questions we had. My son had a great stay and let me know that breakfast was good and when he needed assistance throughout the week, the staff were very helpful. He will be staying there for an extended stay this next time as we don’t have a set date for when his apartment will be ready. I felt comfortable leaving him at this hotel when I left because the two women working up front were so nice. Thank you, this mom was comforted leaving her college student in your hotel.

Great one night stay. Lots of places to eat nearby. Pool was fab, breakfast so so not really my cup of tea as i prefer self service but this one was cooked for you. Good locationclose to White Sands N.P andcould borrow sleds free to use which was really good.
