Possibly the photos of twin pines aren't recent. We received a friendly welcome, but the rooms are in dire need of refurbishment.

Bare necessities
Good for one night! Plus: firm pillow, attached bathroom, clothes hanger Minus: only 1 socket point and it's 3m from the bed at a height of 1.5m high The only mirror is in the bathroom - makeup standing on a cold wet floor :( Lack of cool water dispenser in the lobby Thin walls

My experience at hotel.
Problem faced regarding room size, decorations and the staff was not aware regarding my visit. They asked where is confirmation email from me where in I showed my trip details to convince them booking. My wife complaint to change room and bedsheets when I asked to change room they replied they are already booked and this is final room. Regards Hotel Guest

My boyfriend and I planned to stay for 1 night and the staff were incredibly welcoming and the garden beautiful - we ended up staying for an extra 3 nights! Breakfast was great value and close to everything convenient. You can hear the nature from your room :) Would recommend definitely and would stay at Twin Pines again in a heart beat!

A friendly budget accommodation
Twin pines gave us a great deal. The garden is beautiful and peaceful, despite the neighbouring noises. The location is much better than staying on the main road, everything in town is still walking distance. The staff are really friendly and the hostel has a great vibe. Room is a budget room so don't expect it to be awesome but it was ok and clean enough. The shower was surprisingly strong and hot. Really nice.

Decent room for the price
Lovely garden room a bit noisy due to fine wall but overall the outside make it up. Hot and powerful shower nice staff. Lovely place very peaceful. I would go back.

Didnt have good facilities
Windows glass also broke,they didnt replace the new one,let the window open,people from outside can see our expensive item like camera dslr, smartphone,laptop if we are going out and let the item on the room for batery charging etc. Bed also poor, the steel of bed look like waiting a few day to broke. Dangerous for person who have big size body i think the bed only can hold weight around 70kg only.lack of facilities,.

OK place to stay
We really liked the easy check in and the nice and polite staff. The garde in front is really nice and it is easy to find. The room could have been in a better condition but overall would stay here again.

Terrible!
This is about the worst place I have ever stayed in! So bad I left after one night and didn't even care about a refund! It's a nice enough town and the tiny bathroom was reasonably clean - that's the only good things I can say! The walls were paper-thin and I was awake all night to EVERY noise ANYONE else in the hotel made. The room was tiny. It was great having my own bathroom but not hearing all the bathroom noises of my fellow guests. The sheets on my bed, although clean (I think) were heavily stained. Who knows if the blanket had ever been washed? The towel I was given was the size of a hand towel - when I asked for a larger one his reply was: 'are you Australian'?(!). I get the whole 'rustic' thing, but this place is going way too far. I'm wondering how anyone rates it above 1 star, particularly when there are better, newer, and probably as cheap options in town. A real stinker!

Twin Pines Cameron (TP)
It was our first trip to the Cameron Highlands. We found this online and had quite good reviews. Apparently it is overrated. Located at a secluded area in Tanah Rata, this is a guest house not a hotel. More like a spartan guest house with minimal furnishings. Entry looks welcoming. But the rooms are 'militarily like'. Towels, bedsheets, curtains all look old and dated with stains. Broken windows, old doors and cupboards greet you. WiFi weak in rooms. Sparsely furnished with a creepy feel. More like a back packers place. Staff spoke good English though. Thats the only positive feedback. I don't usually rate rooms poorly unless they deserve it. This one certainly does !!! Eventually my fellow traveller settled for another place nearby and forgo the deposit. There are many other better hotels nearby and at similar prices too. Not too difficult to get a place in Cameron Highlands. Will never go back TP again, ever !!!

I stayed for two nights in Twin Pines with my friend. Our room is clean and there are toiletries provided. The service is great plus the owner is super friendly. Dont be afraid to ask the owner anything you want to know. There is garden at the front of the house. It is so blooming and looking fresh. While the hotel location is super easy to find as I immediately saw it when my bus passed thru the hotel. And it is very near to the bank, restaurant, supermarket etc etc. Overall, I would totally choose this hotel again next time and very recommended.

Good place to stay.
It's a very nice place with a lovely garden and patio area. The walls between rooms are a bit thin, you might here your neighbors snoring. Wi-Fi works only in the front rooms and the patio area.

Cordialità in un contesto modesto
Posizione dell'hotel comoda poiché posizionato in una traversa della via principale, cordialità e disponibilità del proprietario per quanto riguarda i tour. Totale mancanza di pulizia con lenzuola macchiate e trapuntina impolverata oltremodo, salviette macchiate e dall'odore sgradevole, wc tutto in uno con doccia a pochi centimetri da wc e lavandino.

Très bien situé, très légèrement à l'écart de l'hyper centre (évite le bruit en soirée), la chambre offre un confort en adéquation avec le prix. Bonne qualité de la prestation et ambiance général très sympathique. Petit coin jardin avec des tables pour se poser très appréciables et personnel très serviable et sympathique.

Okay but few negative points...
The hotel is located in a quiet area of Tanah Rata. The owner is very nice and they have a nice and green garden! Unfortutely the walls are very thin so you will hear everything in the evening and morning. The towels were pretty dirty eventhough they seemed to be freshly washed. The WiFi was ok but around 10 to 11 pm it didnt work which was pretty bad. Our room was ok. Could be a bit more spacious. The toilet and shower are very close so everything will be wet after taking a shower. All in all I would book again unless I find something cheaper ;-)

Zimmer sind ok aber ziemlich schmutzige Bettwäsche. Wir hatten Zimmer mit Dusche und Wc. da die auf engstem Raum ist muss man Handtücher, Toilettpapier usw zuerst aufs Bett legen da sonst alles nass wird.Wasser rinnt nicht genug ab sodass man dannach auch das Zimmer am boden ziemlich nass hat. Schade weil die Lage ist super und die Leute da sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit

Immerhin ist es billig
Für den Preis war nicht viel zu erwarten, aber wohl gefühlt haben wir uns nicht. Überall Moskitos, die Zimmer sehen aus wie eine Gefängniszelle, Nach dem duschen war alles nass im Bad, Handtücher und Laken waren eklig und muffig, Boden war dreckig. Aber immerhin gibt es einen schönen Garten.

Location is perfect, the Staff was very friendly and helpful. In the front is a little cute garden and a terasse with wifi. I stayed in a private double room. The bathroom was clean and simple but the room was a bit dirty, the sheets and towels didnt look clean and the furniture especially the bed were in a bad condition. But as a low budget traveler I definitely seen worse and still felt very comfortable and welcomed. A bit annoying were the windows to the corridor. Loud and heard the people talking and no privacy
