Days Inn was simply a short stopover because of an early flight out of Gatwick Airport. For that purpose it did it’s job. It would in my opinion be a 2* hotel at best. It was clean enough, bed was OK and room amenities up to par but the room was old and not well kept with a throw blanket put over an obviously worn out and frayed futon type couch. Not very impressive.
Floors were clearly not well insulated as we inadvertently offended the room below as we sought to leave at a very early hour and we are NOT noisy people.
There is no transport offered to or from airport and taxi was a bit pricey at 30£ for a fairly short ride.
