Attention to detail! This hotel and ALL the staff were incredible. Our experience was personal, relaxed and every need catered for before we knew we needed it. Simple and incredible well cooked Indonesian, Thai and European food, beautiful furnishings, and the lovely quiet location made this a hotel to remember. COVID obviously took a toll on the surroundings and they’re working to restore everything having only opened 6 months ago, but that brought so much more positive impression. Thank you for an wonderful 2 nights, next time 3 nights would be ideal.

Service is the highlight of this hotel. Very attention to detail: From providing towels/water at the pool as soon as they see you, cleaning the room frequently when you are out, to meeting your special requests. I will definitely return to this hotel if i come back to bintan

Sanchaya is a beautiful property with impeccable service. Even with two young children they made our stay so very enjoyable. From the vip lounge at the ferry terminal to the very kind staff we loved our stay at the Sanchaya!

I'd read the glowing reviews before going but it still seemed hard to believe such a fabulous resort could be only a ferry ride away (we live in Singapore). Well, I'm delighted to say that The Sanchaya not only lived up to the hype but exceeded our expectations. It's a truly beautiful and luxurious resort: fabulous pool, lovely beach and gorgeous suite with a host of amenities provided including free healthy snacks and beverages in the room that were topped up daily. With only 29 suites and villas it never felt crowded and the service was outstanding. The staff are the highlight of the resort, service is highly personalised (they remembered our favourite drinks, what we liked to eat etc), did everything possible to make our stay amazing and were so kind and helpful. Wish I could give them a 6 star rating instead! We are already planning our next visit, very lucky to live so close! :)

Good stay at Sanchaya
Generally amazing. But some aspects of the hotel property looks a bit jaded. In my room, the mobile shower head came loose; the coffee machine didn't work as well as other brands. When checking in elders, artisans must take time and explain slowly how complex things work...shower, Apple TV connections. We had to call assistance for these.

Amazing Place, your booking for Bintan
Service and staff are amazing. They really take care of all your needs and are really kind and handy. Special thanks to the Manager and the Chef. All The Sanchaya and its decoration are wonderful. Rooms are lovely, complimentary minibar is a nice plus. The infinity pool is great, really spacious and amazing view. The beach is okay, I know they make a great effort to keep it as clean as possible but if you walk away from the Hotel, especially on the afternoons, you can see the pollution problem of the South East Asian's beaches which is really sad. I understand that there's no much The Sanchaya alone can do with this, is more a cultural/political problem. As a suggestion/improvement wifi didn't work quite well in the room; food/drink prices are a bit high in comparison to other Asian luxury beach resorts.

A little bit of paradise with wonderful service
The accommodation is luxurious yet also warm and inviting. The staff are so attentive and friendly. Every detail from the building style to the communal rooms ( Library, Dining Room, Bar etc ) have been carefully thought out. The food is scrumptious and the wine pairings just perfect . Nothing is too much trouble. They call you by your first name ( but check first that this is okay ) and within a couple of hours I felt so relaxed and at home as if I was a family member returning after a trip away.

The best luxury hotel in Bintan
I went to The Sanchaya for our first wedding anniversary. I experienced quite good service, stay & food. I think overall quality of hotel in the best in Bintan. Almost all staffs are very kind and support any time we have some trouble. Food quality & taste was also very good. Especially I loved breakfast. The best experience during my stay is spa. Very skilled massage. This time we cannot enjoy activities, but if I have opportunity, I gonna try next time. Unfortunately during my stay weather was cloudy and rainy, but I feel very comfortable and happy even if weather was not good. I will come again when weather good timing in the future.

Beautiful weekend escape from Singapore
This place is amazing. Everything from their lounge at the airport down to the friendly and personal service (the staff all know your name!) and a really beautifully decorated and comfortable hotel, I don’t know what more you could possibly wish for. Whilst admittedly pricey compared with similar properties in SE Asia, taking into consideration the location just over an hour from Singapore, the convenience does mean that it is worthwhile as you can have a meaningful visit even just over the weekend, minimizing the hassle of travel. Also, despite being so close to Singapore you are really a world apart in this quiet beach spot - the crowds could not feel further away. Would recommend this both to couples and for families with (well behaved) children, the kids we saw around the premises seemed to have a swell time too. And still the place is spacious enough to make sure you don’t get disturbed if you are on a romantic trip for two.

Nice hotel... but not worth the premium
The hotel is nice enough and you can tell that good effort has been put into training its staff. It is however let down by the details. First off, the hotel is absolutely beautiful and quite well maintained. The beach looks amazing as well. However there are warnings about tar on the sand and for guests to wear footwear on the beach. This is outside of the hotel's control as it is a public beach but it took away from the beach experience. We also saw quite a few jellyfishes in the water... so no water activities possible. Again not the fault of the hotel but it is what it is. For a luxury hotel (or even a 5 star one), you would expect your requests to be fulfilled accurately & with quality... I never had a drink order got right. Worse still is the bath experience we had in the villa. We were in the villa when the staff is preparing the bath. Saw the half-consumed bottle of champagne used to fill our glasses, and the bath salts from a cheap plastic bag used to fill the bath. This took 5 staff btw so there goes privacy. In the end, the bath water actually burns our skin so not sure what kind of bath salts was used. Dining is also very limited and pricey for what it is. All in all, Sanchaya is not bad if you lower your expectations and go in with your expectations right. In my view though it is definitely not worth the premium price it is charging.

Lovely setting for a relaxing break.
We were looking for a relaxing break in between frenetic Dubai and bustlSingapore and The Sanchaba was just perfect. From the private lounge in the ferry port to the attentive service provided by everyone, the standard was very high. Food was delicious with plenty of choice in both restaurants. There were plenty of classes and activities for those who wanted them and beautiful pool and beach

Excellent stay only EXCEPT lost $200SGD there!
The facility and hotel staff was quite excellent. Only EXCEPT we lost $200sgd during there hotel staff senting the evening dessert while we were in the beach no body in the room! We didnot know there will be a room service around night time after we just checked in so we didnot put the valueable things in the safe. We only realize each of me and my hubby’s wallets lost $100sgd in the next day morning! We are very sure about the money amount in our wallets before we leaving and someone who stolen seems like not one time cos she/he only took $100 from each wallets instaed all the money. May be she/he thought we won’t be realize! We are quite upset about this incident and we informed the management they said will investigate and they gave a stuff toy as sorry gift. We have no time for the police report (we only found this incedent not long ago befor we check out) We are still waiting for the investigate result by there management. So if you heading to this hotel please be sure that you lock all your valueable things all the time in the safe.
