The hotel was very well located to Beaune town centre (only a short 5-10mm walk). The staff were friendly and the secured on-site parking were a help.
The room decor varied greatly. Our daughter had a beautifully decorated room, whilst we had a rather retro black and white decor room that was crying out for a makeover.
If I had to make and recommendations:
A) more pillows (and at least 1 "firm" pillow)
B) the bathroom needed a little more toilet paper and bigger towels would be great
We did not opt for breakfast as it was offered at a cost of £35/head. We opted instead to walk into town and enjoy one of the many boulangerie's on offer in Beaune. The hotel did also have a lovely bar and dining room which we were sadly unable to try as our visit was a 'flying' one.
Though the hotel was undergoing external decoration and was therefore covered in scaffolding, it is still a lovely building in a very convenient location. Though elements and areas of the hotel interior are dated, it still provides hospitable and enjoyable accommodation and given that we only paid just over £100/per room, we would stay again. (Note the parking is an extra, but it is onsite and secured so you are able to leave unrequited items in your car - at your own risk of course) m.
