Small hotel, good size room for a budget room, quiet neighbourhood, 5 minute walk to center for bars, shopping, dining and transport. Zoo and art museums were a 9 minute walk. Lovely garden to sit out for breakfast or wine in the evening. Staff were great. I would certainly stay again.

The old town with the tourist attractions, the center with museums and the shopping possibilities are just around the corner. Great place to stay whike visiting Basel
Location is great - quick, 10 min walk to the center of Old Town and 2-3 min walk to the bus. Clean and comfortable room and staff is very friendly.

Staff are very friendly and helpful! Very much enjoyed the welcome drink and added crisps. The location of the hotel is a stones throw away from the main area of shops & museums. Basel card is a great added bonus. Stayed 1 night and came back a few days later to a very warm welcome. Would recommend and stay again :)

All the positive reviews were right. :)
Pluses: clean rooms, modern design, plenty of lighting in the room, well-thought-out room organization (prepared for every need), convenient location, free public transportation pass, within a 10-minute walk to a grocery store, friendly staff, eco-friendly service, free first drink, elevator, great noise-insulation, AC control within the room, plenty of selection of English-speaking channels. 3 minor inconveniences: (1). The first two steps at the entrance are not ADA-compliant. There might be another entrance that is possibly ADA-compliant that we don't know about. (2). One of our neighbors had a fire alarm in their room at 4 a.m. The firefighters came very quickly. (3). Every 2-5 minutes our TV had an extra display within the frame of the show, which disrupted subtitles. It seemed like it was advertising all the TV's capabilities. I could have asked the staff for assistance, but it was such a minor problem that I kept forgetting about it.

Desimir was a most authentically warm, friendly, hospitable person serving guests for breakfast, which opened into a truly lovely garden. Of course, the front desk staff were very helpful, warm, and welcoming of guests as well.

This hotel is top notch. The best features were the magnificent garden, excellent mattress, pillows, shower, and overall design. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly; especially Eva who made my stay even more pleasant. I would honestly never stay at another hotel in Basel.

Staff was excellent. Air France airlines destroyed my luggage. Crushed and no wheel, broken handle. Dragged it to hotel. Girl at front desk was so accommodating . She walked me to proper store in neighborhood so I was able to purchase new luggage. She also rolled it back to hotel since there were stairs and hills.

Central Basel Hotel
Nice stay for a couple of nights near the centre of Basel. Room was not huge but adequate for a couple for a short stay. Nice touch to be offered a welcome drink on arrival which we took in the attractive garden out the back. Decent selection from breakfast buffet and nice coffee.

Checked in late at night for an early flight out of Basel airport the following morning - this hotel did the required job beautifully, with the airport being just 15 minutes drive away. The security guy who checked us in late at night, could not have been more helpful or attentive to us - Thank you!!! The lady who checked us out the following morning was equally obliging and kind. Room was a good size and had everything that us three adults needed. Would definitely stay here again, especially if using Basel airport.

Ideal location and excellent staff
We spent one night in Basel on route home from a week in the Alps. The hotel was ideally situated on the edge of the old town and was easily accessible by bus from the train station and airport. The staff were exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable and keen to offer assistance in any way they could, including tips on how to make the most of 24 hours in this beautiful city. I would recommend a stay!

Just perfect! The hotel is ideally located 10 min walk from the train station and the old town. The staff was very welcoming: we could enjoy an early check-in and a complimentary drink in the garden. Room was clean with everything necessary, even coffee set. Last but not least the breakfast is tasty and with a large offer ! Perfect choici in Basel !

Nice hotel near the Old Town
Really loved this hotel! The staff was amazing and very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the courtyard was nice, and the proximity to the Old Town was great. The room (deluxe double) was spacious and comfortable with thoughtful extras like a Nespresso machine and robes and slippers. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel!

Clean, comfortable and quiet room. The hotel location is just a few blocks from the wonderful ild town. The front desk and service staff was sincerely friendly. Would definitely stay again.
