Fantastic stay in Basel.
The staff on the front desk was absolutely friendly and helpful. Free public transport for the hotel guests in Basel was an additional bonus.

Dasbereitehotel is a very special comcept. Handicapped staff provides an excellent, caring and exemplary service. The location is perfect and the hotel has a great, safe parking lot. Free drinks and cakes and fruits 24/7. Ideal to return.

An excellent place to stay
I understood you could check in only between 3pm and 5pm or you would have to wait until the next day. We did check in then, but I’m still wondering if that is true, because I have never encountered this policy in my many years of traveling in europe

Dear darlene Thank you so much for your feedback, we really appreciate it. Our check in time is from 3pm up to any time. Our front office is occupied 24h a day from Monday until Saturday. Only on Sundays or a public holiday we are occupied at a reduced rate. Our guests will be informed one week before arrival about a key deposit if they arrive in between our closure time. We are looking forward to welcome you again.

booked double room for single use ( with the price
a good 3 star hotel in basel, booked a single use double room , been given a single room - breakfast choice rather limited-- the complimentary coffee/ cake buffet extremly limited choice - the room very basic. for the price - I expected a lot more for the price!!

Basel for Tinguely
Excellent care & treatment by the front desk staff, tasty & filling breakfast, spacious clean room with plenty of hot water, right on the bus route. Came to see Tinguely and other museums, perfect location! Bed was a bit soft for my bad back... would stay again easily.

Pretty good service .Rooms modern and nice. Very clean. Tram ride to Old Town. Great once we figured it out. Hotel staff not that helpful but figured it out on our own. Basel lovely

Unparalleled excellence. Carla and Brigette add such sunshine and laughter to the breakfast experience. All the staff is friendly and go beyond the extra mile to assure that you stay is memorable and unforgettable. I salute the social mission. If you need to store something in a refrigerator there is a opportunity. Reception will help you with it. We serve free coffee and tea in our hotel lobby. And not only that: We even have everyday a different cake, a big fruit plate and our home made ice tea for our guests - as sad: For free. Beer, soft drinks and wine you can buy as well at the reception and your staff love to help you with extra pillows if needed. Towels are standard equipment in the bath room. Cozy and convenient.
I stayed at DASBREITEHOTEL for a business trip in which I had to meet people every day close to the Tinguely museum. The location was perfect! Just a short and pleasant 15min walk across the Rhine. The room was very cozy, minimalistic but efficient, with all I needed and very clean. The staff is very friendly and readily helped me with a power outlet adaptor and suggestions for outside restaurants. The hotel food is quite nice as well. All around this was a very nice stay!

Good quality hotel right in front of tram
The hotel is nice but basic. Very conveniently located right in front of number 3 team. It takes 8min to be at central train station in Basel. The breakfast is very good quality. The staff extremely helpful and kind. I asked many times for various help and they always responded with a warm smile and eagerness to serve. I stayed 4 nights and would return as it is a good value and high service.

Practical quality for business traveller

I was blown away
This hotel was not what I was expecting, but in a really good way. The is a parking garage inside the hotel so you can know your car is safe and sound at night. The staff were extremely friendly and the room was super clean. I have never seen a more spotless hotel room. Then to top it off, the breakfast buffet was fantastic! They had eggs, bacon, yogurts, breads, jellies, juices, cereals, granola, coffee service, packaged breakfast breads, fruit and veggies.

Nice hotel but next to main road
They are very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is quite comfortable and the rooms are clean. It is well-situated but it is next to a main road which is the main drawback of the hotel. But it is next to two supermarkets and they provide a very reasonably priced dinner.

Great Hotel but 20SF for parking to steep
Room was clean and cozy. Breakfast was amazing and service was great. From Check in to Check out. Only thing I did not agree with is the 20SF you need to pay for parking. Could have booked a better hotel with parking included

A hotel just some tram stops from the city center
Excellent hotel, I had a very clean, and nice room. Great staff, everybody was very kind. The wi-fi worked perfectly and the breakfast was really good. And it was very nice that there were free tea, cake and apples in the breakfast room. I enjoyed very much my stay

Very nice hotel, excellent staff and comfortable
A very pleasant stay in this lovely hotel. It was very hot at the time of our stay and there is no AC so window was open however it was very noisy due to close proximity to the motorway. Very handy if travelling by car.

A last minute booking during our journey to Italy by car, this hotel is conveniently located for the motorway. If you are using the car park, do not waste time tryng to find the entrance! Stop outside and collect a map from reception and you will find the closed door to the garage under the hotel easily without driving around and wasting several minutes There is free coffee, tea, water, fruit and cakes in reception and sandwiches available to buy if you arrive late, as we did. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed very spacious and comfortably firm although the pillows were softer than is our preference (we would have mentioned it if we had been aerating more than one night) The bathroom was also larger than is often the case in city hotels. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel but it looked like a good variety was available at the breakfast buffet. We would stay here again.

Wonderful hotel in Basel. It is just across the river from Museum Tinguely and short transit ride or 20 minute walk to center of the old town. The rooms are clean and they have a reliable wifi connection. Additionally, they offer coffee and tea in the lobby at all times as well as snacks in the evening.

Frequent traveller, first choice hotel in Basel
I have stayed in Dasbreite Hotel several times. As a frequent traveller to Basel, i have stayed in a number of hotels. However, after trying many, this become my number 1 choice. It combines a clean and comfortable room with an excellent breakfast, super friendly staff, a nice free coffee/snack area in lobby, fast wifi and generally a warm, welcoming vibe. As for location, its a few tram stops to centre or a short walk. Bike rentals are a nice touch. would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Good quality hotel
Good quality hotel with pleasant staff. Room is nice size. Decent pillows which are always a pleasant surprise in mid-price European hotels. The breakfast was good and there was a nice selection of fresh fruit.

Very nice hotel with good tram access to station.
My favorite hotel in Basel. Can be reasonably priced, large modern room, large bed, quiet, good wifi and breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. Tram stop is just outside, about 5 stops to city center or train station. Free transit pass.

Great hotel with a warm care.
Great hotel with a warm care, an amazin break fast , they left fruit and cakes that you can take for free for the whole day long that was really nice, you get a free transportaion ticket for the intaier stay ,its very close to the center just 2 stops with the tram. I am really recommend to go to Dasbreitehotel.

Nice, friendly hotel in excellent location
We stopped overnight on our way to Italy and we found it excellent. Very friendly staff, rooms are big and staff friendly. We parked our car in their securely locked garage, which for us was additional peace of mind. It's less than 2 minutes from the river Rhine which makes is a lovely walk.

Better than expected. Great value.
Perfect for the train riders, long walkers, and bicycles. I drove to town and initially, parking was a bear. But the hotel accommodated me with there parking garage. I stayed extra days and the car never left the garage. Public transit was easy and quick. So, even though the hotel is slightly out of main shopping/restaurant district, a short enjoyable walk down the Rhein, or an even quicker train will get you where you're going to.

Very good hotel,
Great Hotel, Great room, Free WiFi, Ideally located out of town but with a tram stop just outside the hotel the centre of Basel is only 10 minutes away and with free travel for those who stay in a hotel in Basel it's even better. A decent Breakfast and polite, helpful staff it great value...

Very good, but over-priced
The hotel itself is good with spotless rooms but it's over priced: no Wifi in the room (lobby only) or air conditioning (typical in Switzerland, I know) are major black marks. But otherwise it's a good hotel that's only a few minutes from the centre of town; you get a free pass for public transport and the tram stop is right outside.

Great hotel. No kettle in room though. Husband arrived a few days before me, they knew when I was arriving but no extra towels although when I asked they were quick to bring some for me. Hotel opposite tramstop.
