Breakfast with a good view of the city. Was supposed to park a short distance away from the hotel as the hotel parking was unable to accommodate the bigger ride I had which was a Toyota Noah. However managed to park outside the hotel after the staff saw that I have children. Parking is 1000jpy per day.

General clean room with comfortable beds good enough space for 4 pax However the toilet has a mouldy smell , could be maintained better .

HATED IT!!!
We parked the car on the other side of the street and they charged 1000 yen for it,and it wasn't even the hotel's parking. Bathroom smelled awful like someone had died in there. Manager was super rude. Staff is not friendly at all. Would not recommend to anyone.Don't ruin your trip by staying there.

My husband and I stayed in the Japanese style tatami room, and it was one of our most disappointing hotel stays in our lives. • Blood stains on the sheets • Floor was full of splinters, both my husband and I ended up with giant splinters stabbed in our feet (we were both wearing thick socks in the room) • No water boiling appliance • Low floor and an obstructed view, which is unusual for one of the most premium rooms offered by the hotel • Flimsy and cheap interior, backrest on the chairs would bend, so one could not lean on the chairs

Large room and great breakfast!
We had a nice stay at the Art Hotel. The Japanese room was very large and our family of five slept comfortably in the room. The breakfast was definitely the highlight of the stay. A magnificent view of the city, a wide variety of local and unique Hokkaido food, as well as a kid’s section for the little ones. I’ve cream included in the breakfast buffet! We were disappointed about the off-site parking, but we parked in a lot less than 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Also, we discovered that the hotel onsen was pay-per-use and was not very kid friendly.

Stay 2nights before heading Sapporo. Nice and helpful staff, clean room, water heater works well during cold winter. However the room and bathroom was small and difficult to move around for our family of 5. The downside was to pay 1000yen per day for public car park nearby as the hotel only provide free parking for small size car.

Love this place, the Breakfast area has a nice view of Asahikawa. Breakfast is Tasty, and the room is comfortable.

Rooms were bigger than expected and amenities were fully stocked up. Staff are friendly and helpful. They called the courier up when the courier service did not delivery my luggage on time. Will stay with them again

Clean. Nice front desk. Polite service. After coming from Roykan with spacious houses I found this too small - a tight squeeze for 4 persons and we share only 1 tiny toilet.

Due to circumstances that are beyond my control we weren’t able to visit this hotel. We were forced to cancel the trip 5 days before our booking, due to sickness in our family, and I wanted to reschedule for another time, but the hotel policy didn’t allow me to rebook or negotiate the fees, and charged me with the whole amount of our staying, which I find outrageous. I tried to talk to Expedia as well, but they didn’t help at all, since it was the hotel policy. I’m wondering what their role is in the whole booking process, besides getting the booking fees. I definitely find the hotel policy very rude and not customer oriented, and will never book my stays at this hotel again.

Stayed in a Japanese style room. The room was clean and spacious , on the 5th floor. There was a small patch of carpeted area near the door that gives off a musty smell. The rest of the room that has wooden floor or covered with tatami mat was fine. Access to the hotel from the JR station was easy. Good breakfast spread and nice view from the breakfast venue.

We opted for Japanese traditional rooms instead of hotel rooms. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Only a bit far to walk to the JR Station during snowy conditions with luggage in tow.

A very pleasant stay
We were 12 pax travelers on vacation and the rooms assigned to us were very comfortable. Hotel had an Onsen serviced by an operator which gave a special discount to hotel guests at Yen.700 which was not too expensive as the Onsen provided guests with a variety of relaxing baths within. Breakfast was included in the room rate and it was very good as well and the overall experience stay at Art Asahikawa was comfortable and within walking distance to the Kaimono Koen. We were also very pleased when the hotel provided us complimentary parking for our rental cars (Alphard), which were parked at an adjacent block away. We will certainly stay at Art Asahikawa on our next visit.

Nice location and great breakfast for this hotel
During my stay I have left my hp in the room and managed to called hotel only when I reached Otaru, art hotel staff are very helpful and help to mail back the hp to our next hotel in Sapporo. Hotel buffet also very great. Only need to mentioned that about reservation side, under this hotel group have accummulate stamp for every certain amount spent and it can help to have rebate of 3,000yen but we only been noticed on our next stay and that hotel also cannot provide us the stamp even under same group. I think is it really unfair for tourist like me as initially we might manage to get the rebate under that hotel group promotion.

Awesome breakfast spread
Staff was very caring and helped us with a medical emergency on a Sunday when most clinic/hospital were closed.. Made arrangements for taxi and waited for us at the lobby and saw that we made it safely to the doctor. A very pleasant and comfortable hotel but could be a good 20 mins walk to JR Asahikawa station.
