You'll be paddling up the most stunningly beautiful spring in Central Florida. The current is swift, the river is narrow, and the turns are twisty. The water is shallow, 3 feet average, the bottom is white sand and banks are lined with age old cypress trees. Perfect conditions for a fun scenic paddle! Paddling up the spring run is moderately challenging because of the water flow rate, the twists and turns and the narrowness of the spring run. The reward for all this work is that the water clarity and color is unmatched; and the return trip back to the start is a down river fun fest! The strong flow of the spring gives the boards a healthy push all the way back. Emerald cut is the name because of the beautiful blue green color of the water.
