Set out from Thessaloniki and travel through the Grecian countryside to the village of Dion, nestled at the foot of the legendary Mount Olympus. With the lofty mountain as your backdrop, learn about its mythical status as the home of the Greek gods, and step into an archaeological site filled with the Greek and Roman ruins of an ancient Macedonian city. Stroll among excavated theaters, villas, and temples, and admire the well-preserved mosaic floor in the grand House of Dionysos.

Afterward, pay a visit to the neighboring archaeological museum, where you can peruse the wealth of millennia-old artifacts unearthed from the site. As you scope out statues, coins, and even a hydraulic water organ, your guide shares insights into daily life in Dion long ago.

Our tour ends in the picturesque, traditional village of Old Panteleimon which is traced back to 14th century till the end of WW2, when it was abandoned. There ,you will have the time to stroll around and discover the graphical narrow stone paved streets, the cute houses, the hidden taverns and coffee shops.
