We went on vacation. I was looking for a hotel with an indoor pool. This hotel has a lot of character. Yes it's old but very well preserved and cared for. This hotel does NOT smell old. It looked awesome. You will marvel at the ceilings, walls and doors. I went back in time where the movie stars went to the Oscars. Loved it. Location was excellent, close to beaches and close to touristy activities
I stayed here 2 nights and had a blast! I went to LA for a Laker game and Staples center was within walking distance.. Bars and clubs were as well. When I go back and stay downtown, I will definitely stay there!
We intended to see various areas of LA. We ended up spending most of the trip at this hotel. The food was great, staff was super friendly, the pool/ rooftop bar was amazing! We love this place!! Tons to do!
Mathew is great to work with. He is genuinely ernest about his work and making you feel comfortable. The apartment was sized well for my husband and myself. It was clean, organized, and the location was good for us to just get out the door and walk around downtown LA.
The only drawback that we found is that it is a bit loud. Our room happen to be just over the metal gate that allows cars to come and go. The air conditioner worked great! (But was also loud.) Lastly the refrigerator also runs loudly. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring comfortable earplugs or a white noise machine.
The bed was firm and the bedding was crisp. We bring our own pillows when we travel, so I am not able to speak to how those were.
The shampoo and conditioner seemed more upscale than your average hotel products.
Great value for the money. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Room was ready when I got there and was very clean, nicely appointed, and very comfortable. Would not hesitate recommending this hotel.
