"Very convenient location for the Royal Bath & West Showground. Owner was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Room was a little small but contained everything we needed and was very comfortable. We ate here on both nights of our stay and the food was great. Breakfast was also lovely. The room would benefit from a few cosmetic improvements but we would certainly stay here again."

"Great location for park and ride into Bath. We stayed in the main building-this was a mistake. It was noisy-the annex (where we have stayed before) is much better. Our room had a great view of the race course but unfortunately was directly above the kitchen. Kitchen smells and noise drifted up and on one occasion very loud music from the kitchen. "On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

"Spent one night at The George. The staff were very friendly, check in was very smooth. Very knowledgeable about car parking in the town. Our room was very comfortable, clean and tidy. We slept well. The bathroom was well appointed, the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very good. My partner had a full English which he was very pleased with. I had poached eggs which were perfectly cooked. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area."

"Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...

"Beautiful location and the views of the river were stunning. Room was good and spacious with a great few of the river which really made up for everything else. Staff seemed to be a little unhelpful when it came to breakfast as we had no clue where to go, if we were to help ourselves or not.. we just got on with it in the end.. and there was limited options really. Value for money .. I would say it’s alittle over priced for what you get. You pay £30 deposit on top of what you paid for the room...

"Comfortable rooms and beds with a good breakfast in the morning"

"We use this hotel as it is conveniently placed to visit friends in Keynsham for a yearly reunion. The hotel has friendly helpful staff and the breakfast is always of a good standard. The parking is good, the room very clean. Just one observation was the blind in the bathroom in our room 10 could be better but not a big issue."
