"Disappointing. This is a spacious gated resort. The Marina Hotel is a 4 storey building at one edge. A shuttle service is necessary to get to the restaurant and activity areas which are about 2Km away These shuttle vehicles must be summoned by phone. These vehicles are high and awkward. I am 70 and could not manage the steps up. If you are over 30 and even slightly heavy you will struggle. Shuttle buses only operate within the resort. Taxis are expensive and not always reliable at night. In the restaurant Thai food is OK. With English food, reheating is the method. A really disappointing Burger, arrived in 10 minutes. A small burger was buried at the bottom. Thai food is much better quality. Lovely bay area near restaurant with swimming pool and child facilities. My biggest complaint is the so called shuttle buses and distance from hotel."

"The property's location was great and so was the pool. Everything else was just ok. The place needs some maintenance..view from my balcony included a wall of black mold caused by unmaintained guttering. The wait staff for breakfast could do with some training in hospitality i.e. "whatya want" with a glum look doesn't really cut it. Would've liked to eat there for our evening meals but one night was enough. The places next door were so much better. Friendly, better food and cheaper. Shame as great location. Obviously has budget restraints re management quality and maintenance."

"Room and views were nice. Pool bar and drinks prices was good. Facilities were limited, breakfast just OK, a lot of plastic and rubbish on the surrounding beaches. I was expecting nice white sandy beaches but instead there were a lot of shells and rocks. No shuttle from hotel to White Sands and taxi was THB500 each way! "

"My room was clean. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly location was perfect. The view was exactly what I wanted. My only complaint was the bed was as hard as a rock went to the local store and bought myself a topper fix that problem right away."
