“Great place to stay for everyone.”

Excellent place to stay. Liked it so much we stayed longer. They have a great breakfast if you beat the crowd.They also have a fitness room.

“Wonderful choice”

This rustic hotel is set in the beautiful harbor of Valdez, AK with stunning views of the Chugach Mt range and Prince William Sound. The room was immaculate, the bed was comfortable and many amenities included microwave, fridge, large-screen TV. The restaurant (operated independently) offered fresh salmon & halibut and the food was delicious. I was totally satisfied with my choice of hotel, and I recommend this lovely venue to any traveler lucky enough to visit Valdez, AK.

“great over-night stay”

We were here only night but were very satisfied with accomodations. Had pre-registered on line but when we arrived the room had been given to another guest inadvertantly. The manager immediately upgraded us to another room which was top-notch. Very clean, comfortable room and the personnel involved were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel staff went above and beyond in solving our needs which weren't even involved with the hotel. The hotel is in a great location and is a very comfortable place to stay.

“Good place to stayin Valdez, AK”

Room just updated, nice /decent decor and comfortable bed. Space is adequate, and appliances are in working conditions.

“No Surprises”

My family and I had a great visit to Valdez. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean as well as the grounds of the hotel. My only complaint is that there was a lack of posting about breakfast hours. We weren't sure when breakfast ended and missed it by 30 minutes. Other than that it was a very nice place to stay with a good view of the harbor.

“Great restaurant & bar attached”

It is a Best Western, afterall so not up-scale, but we enjoyed the small refridgerator and the bedding was comfortable. We had a king bed on the second floor. For Valdez, this is probably one of the best hotels there. The compimentary breakfast was good. The privately owned restaurant and lounge was great. Ask for Pepe the owner and bar-tender. He is fun and a great host! Our fish and chips was the best we've ever eaten and reasonably priced!

“Convenient for ferries.”

This hotel was nice, similar to other Best Western hotels. The beds were comfy, the continental breakfast was good, albeit meager. Hotel staff pleasant.

“A Little Crowded”

The location of this hotel was wonderful, right off of the canal by the marina. We were a little disappointed with the room only because of all the furniture they tried to put into it for the size of the room, it became a little crowded with 2 of us and 2 queen size beds. Breakfast area also got a little crowded with the number of people staying there and taking advantage of the 'included' meal. BUT the staff at this hotel were wonderful, very helpful, pleasant to speak to and very informative when asked for directions or suggested places to eat.

“Great location”

Great location on the bay, very close to Stan Stephens cruises. Nice room.
