The hotel was very nice and just a couple of minutes from the station. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The many small details in the room such as the heated mirror so it doesn’t fog up made this stay a wonderful experience.

Hotel was incredibly near to the station, that you could see the hotel right from the train tracks. Room was adequately spaced for two.

Excellent stay
The hotel is located very conveniently next to Otsuka Station and a shopping mall. Even better, it is one stop away from Ikebukuro. The quaint neighbourhood adds to the charm of this hotel. The building felt new, and the room is more comfortable than standard single rooms one can get at major interchanges such as Shinjuku and Tokyo Station. The service standard is good too. Overall, the hotel is great!

Very nice and good value
This is a great hotel for the price in Tokyo. It's right on the Yamanote Line, which goes to most major parts of the city, and is only one stop from Ikebukuro. The area around the hotel (Otsuka) is also a nice residential area and makes for a nice morning walk. Service is very good, and the room makes great use of its small space. Breakfast is good,with Western and Japanese options. Leaving the JR station, turn left at the gates, then right out of the station. Walk about one block.

交通非常方便,附近吃的也很多,對面就是超商,房間也非常整潔,隔音做的蠻好的,整體來說真的沒什麼好挑剔的了,下次來應該還是選這間吧

I had a great experience at the Hotel Bellclassic. The staff were friendly and it was easy to communicate despite me not knowing Japanese. The room had all necessary amenities and was reasonably sized for a Tokyo room - which is always going to be smaller than some other cities. The buffet breakfast was good but nothing special. This hotel is very conveniently located and I would highly recommend for anyway wanting to base themselves in Tokyo.

We booked a non-smoking room but upon check-in were told only smoking rooms were available. The hotel did try to do it's best to rectify the situation by providing air purifiers but it would've been nice to actually get what we reserved. Other than that, great location, great service, nice and clean. A+

Nice Hotel near a homely town.
About 300m from the JR Yamanote line Otsuka Station which makes it convenient to explore the city. Clean and comfortable. The staff are professional and helpful. Multilingual service at the front desk. Many food shops and amenities in the surrounding area. Will surely recommend friends to stay.

Great service. Friendly staff. Fancy hotel and room. Good size for Tokyo standards. Seperate toilet and bathroom. Great location right next to Otsuka station. Lots of stores and restaurants around, and one train stop to a popular location such as Ikebukuro (can easily be walked too). Nice view. Wifi was really slow and with periodic disruptions. Bed was too short. The air condition smelled like fish.

Fancy Hotel on the Yamanote Line
From the beginning to the end of my stay the staff was always friendly and energetic. The room was very cozy and had lots of cool machines and features. I enjoyed my stay very much. If I had one complaint it would be that the laundry serivce was a bit expensive, so I didn't use it.

Gorgeous room and great value
Solo travelers will love Hotel Bellclassic. The recently refurbished single rooms are gorgeous. Picture shrunken Westin. Toilet separated from bath/shower/sink. Full amenities. 2 minutes from JR Ohtsuka station so easy access to all parts of central Tokyo. Ohtsuka has a small town feel with plenty of eating options, a batting center, a stop on the last Tokyo streetcar line and was one of Tokyo's geisha districts in times past. Bellclassic offers terrific value and convenience.

Good location, 2 minutes walk from JR Otsuka Station. Great service from the front office when we needed to call a cell provider in Japan due to some problem. Staff probably don't speak too much english but I reckon they understand what you are saying. Room was comfy, amenities were complete, had a great soak in the bathtub albeit a tad too small (to be expected in Japan though). Overall great stay, would recommend anyone using JR Pass to stay there.

WARNING, foreign travelers should not go there
Staff does not speak English. No English TV or English movies. Musty and old, Las Vegas in the 1980s. Expedia was not helpful to make a move. WARNING, beware of Expedia if you have any problems!

The room is small but everything is good. It is clean, comfortable and convenient. However, I was asked to return the key every time I leave the hotel. I think if they can provide a room electric card key and no need to return it then it can be more convenient

Located near Otsuka Station, a 3 minute walk from south exit of the station. The room is spacious with all amenities supplied. Room is clean and quiet and staff is helpful. Some of them speak ok English. Many nice local restaurants around within a short walking distance.

My 2nd time staying at this hotel. I am a frequent traveler. This hotel is well worth for what I am paying for. Its very convenient located right next to Otsuka station which connects to everywhere within mins. Will definitely come back or recommend this hotel to the others.

A modern city hotel with Japanese management
Yes, in Tokyo you have lots of choices as far as accommodation is concerned, but finding one suited you may not be so easy. Most travelers will use the public transportation system to get around, so finding a hotel near a Metro station is preferable. I prefer hotel which has good service, good wifi connection, and good accessibility, BellClassic Hotel seems fitting my bill. The hotel is only one minute walk to Otsuka JR station, Otsuka is only 10 minutes walk, or 1 Metro stop away to Ikebukuro. Buy a 750 Yen JR day pass, you can go anywhere in Tokyo. Direct airport connection available in Shinjuku and Nippori , both are on JR Yamanoto Line. It is a large hotel with over 150 rooms, The hotel lobby is modern and bright, clean and spacious, the Japanese management look after the place well. They are efficient but strict! Most staffs do not speak English, they do not allow check in before 2 pm, I arrive at 1.30 pm and was made to sit in the lobby and wait. The hotel are mainly geared for local businessmen, and there are conference to be held daily. If you want to be away from your noisy fellow foreign tourists, this is the place for you. The room size is average, but everything from good wifi connection, good TV reception (no English channels), tea making facilities, even toothbrush are available. The cost to stay in this solid four star hotel is only US$60 per night in a single room, which is cheaper and more comfortable in those cramped stuffy hostels and inns in Shinjuku.

This hotel is sweet! I stayed in a single, so regarding that: It's a Japanese business hotel-style room that is finished out VERY nicely. The main the thing that sets it apart from other business hotel rooms is that the desk area is built into the window box, so you actually have decent room for your PC, etc, plus a really cool chair, from which you can also view the flat-screen nicely; No retro-fit non-sense. The toilet is in a separate closet from the shower/lavatory, in which the included toiletries are much nicer than the usual fare, (not that I care, being a dude.) Its right outside JR Otsuka station on the JR Yamanote line, which means it is one station away from Ikebukuro; virtually equidistant (less than 20 min?) from Ueno and Shinjuku, and from either of those ends, just a few minutes more from Tokyo and Shibuya, respectively. Cheers!
