"Stayed at MainStay Suites in Tampa one night recently. The property is close to the interstate and nearby the areas of Tampa that I cared about. Breakfast was also tasty with some standard continental breakfast fair.
Unfortunately, the property left a lot to be desired. There was an odor, almost like mold or excessive humidity, throughout the property and in my room. I didn't bring it up because it was for only one night.
Would I stay here again? Probably not, unless there were no other...

"Staff was very nice, especially Rita at front desk and lady who managed breakfast M-F . Spa was hot and pool area was well maintained. Pool only open dawn til dusk. Stayed for 10 days and got moved as they were renovating rooms on second floor. Bed was very hard especially in room on 3rd floor. Room has very little drawer space which was a little difficult for 10 day staff. No room safe and water pressure in 3rd floor room was low."

"Every time I went to the desk, the girl was sitting in one of the massage chairs…she had an excuse for everything…the absolute worst part of the stay was NO ELEVATOR which the girl also had an excuse for…the hurricane and not being able to get parts…how long ago was the hurricane????… also, I asked for a room on the bottom floor and once again the excuse was “there were no bottom floor housekeepers for the day so no rooms were being cleaned”…"

"Staff was not helpful, questions and requests were ignored. We were to be in a double room, not, a king room, and we went to the front desk immediately after we checked our room, but, staff did not acknowledge our questions, and ignored us, even while standing in front of them, they looked passed us, as if we were not there. No hot water to shower. We requested to have hot water repaired or move us to new room. No response was given and no repair was provided and we were not moved to another...

"Parking was good, room was clean, staff was super friendly and helpful. We did not try out the breakfast, so no opinion there. The pool was dated but clean. The room AC worked good. The beds were comfy. This hotel is a good value for the price and located in a pretty good spot.
Only complaint: As a bigger guy (6'5 and manly), I often look for reviews about the shower. Water pressure was meh at best. It took an extra long time to get wet and rinse off. And the bathroom was smaller in size, so...

Should do something to keep the condensate from air conditioning initsvfrom puddling in the walkways outside the rooms. The solution is simple and would make a huge difference in the appearance and provide a greater comfort for the guests.
