A good hotel in an excellent location, ideal for the City Centre which is within walking distance. The hotel room was clean and tidy, and there was a scheme to save water to let the staff know, if you required your bedsheets and towels changing, which I thought was a very good idea. The twin beds were comfortable, and facilities included tea/coffee making, and TV were adequately provided for. The reception staff were friendly and efficient.There were two lifts, and these served all 8 floors of this hotel. There were separate shared bathroom/ toilet facilities for both male & female users.

“Fab location”

Always stay here as the location is great for the price. The rate includes toast and cereal but there are many cafes near by if you are staying longer. I stayed with a shared bathroom this trip which was more than adequate just 2 doors down. The rooms have coffee facilities, fridge and TV. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Located opposite hyde park so can walk to george street , museumsor down to opera house. Bus stop to Bondi, Coogee right outside front door. Suggest getting shuttle but from airport or taxi for about 30 dollars. The nearest train stop is museum but has lots of stairs!

“Great location, friendly staff, AND good value for money”

Apart from a misunderstanding at the time of confirmation, we found the Y Hotel staff to be efficient, kind and friendly.They were concerned and caring when I reported I'd lost my driver's licence (which turned up later) to the extent of asking me about it daily. The Hotel room was comfortable and clean albeit smallish, and the location was perfect for my son and I as it was close to many sights.The free breakfast was good, esp. the fresh croissants. We enjoyed our stay, and would choose Y Hotel next time, too.

“Great place to stay”

I've stayed on several occasions and the Y is my preferred Sydney stopover. The location is brilliant: everything in the city from the Harbour to the inner suburbs within walking distance, and handy to public transport to other places. The staff are helpful and the facilities excellent.

“Great hotel, great location”

This hotel was centrally located at Hyde Park and is literally across the street from the Museum Train station. It is also within walking distance to Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House and Cockle Warf as well as the Sydney Aquarium and Sydney Tower. Nearby cafes, convenience stores, restaurants and markets are plentiful. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, clean rooms, and breakfast included. Only minor thing I could bring up was that internet was not free, but was offered for a surcharge (but it was very speedy and I had no issues with it). Would stay here again.

Room was smallish, but very clean. front desk was very helpful. location was excellent, very close to Hyde Park, buses, & Museum train station.

“Extremely satisfied - been there twice and will go again”

Great location, just a quick train ride from Museum station to Circular Quay then on the ferries and across the Harbour. Breakfast was hearty and the quality of service was excellent. We have used this hotel twice in the last 4 months and look forward to staying there again.
