Hotel Mesra Alam di Southbank

"I have stayed at quite a few luxury hotels and the Sofitel never fails to impress! Unfortunately due to an accident, we lost power, however the generator jumped into action quite quickly, With unprecedented work noise outside due to the accident, I was offered a relocation to another room, however at that time of night I asked for and was provided with earplugs. Eventually fell to sleep and slept well. As an apology, even though it was their fault, I have been offered a free room...

"Staff were helpful, room okay did not request king bed asked for a double booking made through Expedia. Room right near the lift which I know someone has to have but not ideal. Had a small meal prior to 6 pm at the Collins restaurant which was fine, breakfast arrived 8.30 am seated quickly staff were good. The Meal which we had small spoon of baked beans, mushrooms, scrambled egg, bacon were nearly cold only hot item was the hash brown. Two coffees to follow were good, staff was very good. ...

"The place was a great spot in Southbank. Within walking distance to the many of the features. Great gym and breakfast. A special shout out to Paul from the Edwin Cellars Bar. He knows his wine and is always happy to recommend great wines to try. "

"Welcome crew at front desk, very helpful and super friendly, call out to Michael, extremely friendly. He helped with check in, parking, confirmed breakfast was included and explained checkout express. Rooms were super clean and daily cleaned promptly. The breakfast is delicious and very very presented. I am looking forward to my next visit to Melb and I will be staying again at Mecure Southbank. Thanks"
