Overall the hotel was an awesome experience. Staff was great. Spoke perfect English and bends over backwards to assist you in any way. We were greeted like we were royalty. First class all the way. The hotel hosts the famous Sky Bar and it is always busy and packed. If you room is past the 50th floor, you will have a line to get to elevator for your room because of the traffic getting to the Sky Bar or restaurants on the top floors. Weekdays not too bad.

The only thing i was a little put out about was the fact that there is a self serve laundry which is excellent but it was not given as an option when I turned in my laundry to room service
Otherwise excellent and location very good

This is my second stay in 2 months and the consistently high level of service and attention to detail by the team at Sukhothai is commendable. When we arrived at the hotel, an SUV has just knocked down one of the giant flower pots in. The driveway in an accident and mud was all over the road, but within minutes, we saw an entire team from the hotel attending to the mess and directing traffic. When we walked past again soon after, the damage has been attended to and a massive pot was already in place as if nothing had happened.
The serenity of the Sukhothai environment amidst the bustling congestion of Bangkok is a calming experience and we appreciate walking around the hotel corridors without feeling claustrophobic or getting in the way of other travelers. Even the festive decorations were well considered and not in your face.
Bangkok has been a favorite family destination for short breaks and we have stayed in different properties along the river, around the Sukhumvit and Wireless Road vicinity in the last two decades, but for us, the Sukhothai team reoresents the highest standards in Thai hospitality.
We stayed in a 2 Bedrooms Deluxe Suite. Place is very cosy and we have a great space of our own. The suite was made everyday and bottles of water and shower gels and all were replenished everyday without being asked. It was an enjoyable stay and will definitely come by again. The hotel staffs are very helpful.

Everything was perfect. This was our second visit and there had been some changes but always for the better.
The staff were so charming, efficient, always smiling and helpful. The prices in the restaurants were a bit high but this is to be expected in a five star hotel. The quality of the food was first class.
Amazing modern hotel in Bangkok! The Sofitel So is like a less clubby version of the W or Standard -- trendy and young, but not over the top. The staff is extremely attentive, and they got us off to a perfect start with the check-in drinks. We stayed in a So Comfy room on the 27th floor that offered amazing views of the park and skyline. In fact, the views of the park from the bathtub were one of the highlights. The Sofitel So offers free valet parking, which was a definite plus for the days we rented a car, and the free minibar snacks and drinks were also a nice perk.
