"I booked a king bed balcony and it was changed to a double bed room. I don’t get explanation or notice and was very disappointed. The staff wasn’t helpful in updating the room to the correct one and I had to stay in the same room with double."

"The staff was super friendly, interactive, and helpful. They spoke every time you passed thru the lobby. They were super helpful with answering questions about the area and inquiries I had. The place itself was that New Orleans charm, and very comfortable. The only complaint is you could hear other people in the halls quite easily. Andrew at the lobby desk was amazing as was Patrice. My 2 favorites!"

"Great, affordable location on Royal in the Quarter. Really friendly and helpful staff. Luggage storage service great as we rode the train from Biloxi. Spacious, quiet room with very comfortable bed. A few flights of stairs to navigate if on an upper floor. No fridge or microwave. Plan on staying here again for next visit to NOLA. "

"I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep. "

"This hotel is amazing!!! Not only does the hotel give you the feeling of history its modern amenities make the stay even better. Its fairly centrally located, making it easy to access the hot spots of the French Quarter. And get lost walking around... no problem... step into an intersection and look around for the HUGE sign on top of the hotel to find your way back easy."

"Beautiful old colonial building with unique rooms and grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful. Only issue was the room’s air conditioning temperature could not be regulated (too cold). Will surely stay here again."

"We had a great stay overall. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly, and I especially appreciated the hotel accommodating our early check-in request since we booked the day before arrival. That made a huge difference for us after traveling. The food was also very good. My only complaint was that the kitchen ended up closing earlier than the time we had been told earlier in the day, which was a little disappointing. Other than that, the experience was excellent and we enjoyed our stay."
