Ruidoso is a small mountain town, and this hotel was located near good local restaurants and shopping. The hotel was very clean and relatively new. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel also offered a free breakfast.
the room was great however the bathroom was lacking in comfort and ease... The very large jetted tub was hard to get in and out of it really cramped the toilet so when you are sitting you have to stand to close the door and it is very cramped in the corner of the room and the lid is plastic very disappointed with this ... there needed to be more hangers in the closet the breakfast needs more variety and the food seemed like it had sat too long
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are beautiful. The hotel is set back from Hwy. 70 in a wooded area, so it has the feel of staying in a cabin in the woods. Breakfast was quite good with choices far beyond what I would consider a continental breakfast. We definitely will chose this hotel on our next trip to Ruidoso.
We liked this hotel very much and will return to it next time in the area.
My one small complaint is that it could have used another comfy chair in the room with a king bed as there was plenty of room for it.
The hotel is located at the top of one of the mountains and has wonderful views. We saw mule deer, elk, wild turkeys, a number of different bird species and even a little skunk making his way across the road. Unit 802 was upstairs and has the best views.
