"My AC was not working. I got to my room, and the temperature had to be at least 85 degrees. The AC unit was blowing out hot air. When I complained about the issue I was told "some people like the rooms warm. They told me they would send up someone to fix the problem and they never showed up. Fortunately, it was a cool day and I could open the window partially, and I was able to turn the AC off. Another positive was I only stayed one night. The hotel was full, so a room change was not possible."

"I have stayed at hotels offering free breakfasts before, but by comparison, those free breakfasts couldn't hold a candle to what ChefRobert at the Holiday Day Inn Express BDL, put on! The eggs were fresh, cooked to perfection, the bacon fresh, crisp perfect! In fact, everything was excellent and beyond expectations! Hats off to Robert, for an excellent culinary experience"

"As a solo female traveler, I was a bit surprised at the location of my “first” room. I was at the very end of the hall, next to the stair well and across from the trash room. The hallway did smell a bit because the trash room door was propped open but the room itself did not. I was not comfortable with the location so requested a room change - something closer to an elevator - more in the mix and was accommodated without question. "This recently remodeled motel was completely charming. We had a room accessible directly from the parking lot, and it was decorated beautifully. The nautical theme extended throughout. The bathroom was large, beautifully tiled, and perfectly functional. Towels were changed daily. The bed and pillows were very comfortable with nice cotton sheets. We would stay there again."
