“Could not fault this hotel”

Excellent hotel especially for families. Extra large pool, did not enjoy loud music all day around pool. Very effecient room cleaning staff and lovely large comfortable bed. Check in was very slow and not informative did not issue us with breakfast tickets. Really need a car to stay here. Beach had lots of litter. Difficult to get evening meal as there is not a lot around there and the hotel is geared to large group bookings and you have to work your evening meal time around them. But overall found it a really relaxing stay in a very nice hotel, would hire a car from the airport next time.

A lovely hotel with a superb pool. Would need a car to get about if you want to eat out which you would want to do as there are only two restaurants available. When we were there one was being used for a corporate event both evenings. The buffet in the other restaurant was ok. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable.

“Comfortable and Relaxing Stay”

Although the beach is nothing spectacular to speak about, the hotel's decor, ambience, and facilities more than make up for it. The hotel room is spacious, with a modern and sleek look. The room also has a cushioned window area where one can sit and enjoy the view. The conciege and the lobby staff were very helpful, with some being locals. I spoke with one (Mr. Sara) who was able to direct me with specific landmarks (e.g. U-turn on 3rd traffic light) to my eating destination. I will definitely come back and stay again in this hotel. Kudos to the wonderful service and the beautiful stay.

Thistle Port Dickson is probably the best hotel we have stayed in Malaysia. Set off the main road in serene, well landscape and maintained grounds, the reception is impressive and its open plan design links well to the external facilities and areas. The room was probably the largest we have ever occupied and was well laid out and fitted with a balcony - comanding a wonderful view of the bay. The service was excellent and delivered "with a smile" and "nothing was too much trouble". We would have given Thistle full marks had the following issues not arisen :- a. Whilst we accept that the Hotel has to accommodate corporate events, the associated music was left on throughout most of day even if there were no activities. This did not allow comforatble sitting on the balcony. b. The RM44 breakfast was most disappointing and the experience let to our decision not to have any more meals in the Hotel. Whilst accepting it is Halal, the range could have been wider by inclusion of say "smoked fish". Even the local dishes were not good quality and the "Bee Hoon" looked like hurriedly mixed (rather than stir fried.) That costed us RM87.

“Nice facilities, service to be improved”

Nice location, nice hotel, bad service. They messed up our reservation so we had to change rooms inbetween. We told them there was a loud noise in the room and they didn't bother fixing it. Apart from that -nice location, nice facilities.
