"I paid for a 2 bed suite knowing I have 4 kids with me and upon check in was told the hotel over sold rooms and I was the lucky one to be moved to 2 separate rooms non - conjoining and quite a bit smaller. A heads up would have been nice so we could have planned accordingly. Not to mention, the walls are thin and you can hear EVERYTHING. I’m sure our neighbors didn’t help but either way, Request a top floor and bring earbuds."

"I know that this facility has been remodeled, but my husband said that it was like putting lipstick on a pig. It was not well insulated - we could hear the conversations EASILY that people were having in the next room. You could hear everything everyone said as the walked down the hallway. I could hear cars starting outside. The breakfast was mediocre at best. Just wasn't a great experience. We wouldn't stay here again unless the price was much lower. "The free breakfast delivered to the room at 11 was good especially since we wanted to sleep in and check out was at 1200. The room was cute, but not very assessable for those with any issues. The bathtub in the room that we stayed in was a very large step or climb down. The bed was small and up against the wall which made it difficult for the person sleeping next to the wall to get up during the night. The staff were very nice and helpful. "

"Hotel room was updated, clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was great and the grounds were clean. Only downside was that the pool and hot tub were closed due to maintenance work and updating. I was not aware of this until check in."

"There was no evidence of ANY updates to anything...the hallway and in room carpeting is torn, stained and dated coloring. The room had a terrible smell, the A/C unit was loud and clunky, walls paper thin and the locking mechanism for the door subpar. Surprisingly, the continental breakfast included was decent, not amazing but given everything else it was better than expected."

"The room had almost no light, a strong smell—like varnish—and a dirty refrigerator; there was the smell of food throughout the entire hotel, and rat traps were everywhere. The neglected courtyard—generally depressing."

"El hotel esta es un pueblito pequeño y se siente bastante aislado, pero es un hotel muy comodo. A tener en cuenta es que el tren pasa muy cerca del hotel. Pense que seria un problema por el ruido, pero no se si estaba muy cansada o la cama estaba tan comoda que despues de un rato no note el tren y dormi como un bebe."

"There was a mistake with the deluxe cabin listing I booked. The KOA owner Andie, and manager staff made it all right. It's a great, beautiful location. If we return, we will most likely book on the KOA site and reserve a Deluxe cabin, (choose numbers 1-5) that is fully furnished with bedding, a kitchen and a fireplace experience with a great view. If you book through Expedia, just make sure you know if it's furnished or if you need to bring your own bedding and towels."

"Second time staying at the Hillside. Love it here!! Spacious room with small couch, TV...comfortable, clean beds. Large shower, shampoo conditioner and body wash included & clean fluffy towels. Games under the beds for entertainment, patio with tables and chairs to lounge with partial view of the town. My only suggestion is if you drink coffee, bring your own sugar and cream. We'll book here every time!! You won't regret staying here!"
