Suite was clean, big and what a view! Although it's in the city centre, it's very quite and peaceful. All the staff are very polite, pleasant and obliging. As a five star hotel, the food and beverage is very reasonable. Will definitely stay there again if I ever travel to Penang again.

We had a fantastic few days at the Lone Pine hotel. The room was spacious with a fabulous balcony which we made use of in the evenings. The food was excellent, and a fantastic variety of food at breakfast and the evening buffet meal.
Make sure you book the shuttle service into Georgetown in advance as it gets booked up quickly.
We would recommend a visit to the night market outside the hotel, however make sure you barter for the price for everything, as most are willing to accept as low as 50% of their original asking price; some great bargains to be had here.
