The hotel was good. We were two families and had two suites. Rooms were a good size. The breakfast was good, with good options of food. Staff overall were helpful and friendly. The only negative was it was extremely warm everywhere in the hotel and rooms. Upon informing the staff, we were told it was because the weather was unusually warm for the time of year and heating system was set. We also had an incident where reception made a mistake and gave our room to another family. We were woken up at 1.30am being told we were in the wrong room. Eventually the family turned away and came back with the staff member. To which, we said again we’d been in the room for 3 days now. He apologised and turned away. It turned out, we were in 518 and they should have been given 418! Hotel manager apologised the next day and offered us a complementary late check out until 5pm.

Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient to use Metro and bus. Gare du Nord Station was about 15 mins walk. Rooms were a bit small but were nice and clean.

Great!
My room was just the right size for me, the bathroom had a tub and a cute backlit mirror. The room was very clean and the staff were attentive. It may not be the beat part of town but I wasnt bothered and never felt unsafe. The metro is right out side the door and gard l'est is right across the street. I'd stay there again for convenience.

Great hotel near Metro Station
We loved our stay at the Holiday Inn Gare De l'Est! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We ordered room service twice and was very happy with the quality of food and how quickly we received it. The beds were comfortable and the shower was awessome with the rain shower head.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. They overchage you and it is a battle to get anything back. Still fighting. First of all despite being told of a late check-in (midnight) and the room not being refundable they gave it away. Read the reviews (sadly we didn't) they overcharge everyone. we were charged 80 euros above quoted price for room. It is sneaked through on your credit card.

Friendly staff . They checked me in earlier then usual check in time . Was happy . At bar staff was friendly. Overall good hotel , centrally located.
