All the staff I had contact with were excellent. Patricia at Reception was particularly pleasing. She handled my Check-in swiftly and efficiently. I've travelled to thirty six countries in the last ten years, stayed in hundreds of hotels, and written a travel book, so I recognise good service when I see it. My room was clean, and the service at the restaurants was great. I ate there every night.
The hotel, while not top class, is very comfortable, and not over crowded. Palm Cove is wonderful.
Great place to stay , 3 pools to choose from. Staff were great ,although we did have a maintenance man knock once on our door and enter to fix an air conditioner ,which was the wrong room at 7:15am in the morning. Apart from that all was great.

I had a one night stay at Mango Lagoon resort. The room was incredibly clean, cool in the tropical steamy heat.
Peter the owner was so helpful even driving me to my relatives the next morning in the pouring rain. The resort was so calm and serene, the statues, the pools the walkways were so welcoming. Shame no breakfast but it is the non tourist time.
We ended up at Sarayi when our flights were changed by the airlines, and we needed two additional nights in the Cairns/Port Douglas area. The manager was really helpful in general, and gained our devotion when he upgraded us to a corner room with a balcony. Heaven! The hotel does have its quirks, but the facilities were quite fine. We used the kitchen for breakfast toast and for a salad at lunch. Worst part was no elevator. Since we travel light, it wasn't much of a problem, but if you cart around your life, you won't be happy with this journey. Parking in front was easy every time we came back from an activity. Easy travel to Cairns or Port Douglas/Daintree.
Very good value; moderate prices (for the PD area!). Excellent lattes at the cart in front of the building, and sitting on the balcony looking out at and hearing the ocean - Yippee!.
