"First time we’ve stayed here , and being relatively local, visit Newcastle often. The hotel is classy and comfortable, with brilliant staff . A few minutes walk to the Glasshouse and located on the quayside with some great restaurants and bars nearby. Parking was easy with hotel reserved parking at the rear of the hotel. Without a doubt, this will be our first choice for overnighters in Newcastle."

"Sehr gute Lage innerhalb von Newcastle und zum Bahnhof, der direkt neben dem Hotel ist. Trotzdem hört man die Züge nicht. Foyer ist beeindruckend mit tollem Leuchter. Aber Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen und die Zimmer könnten frische Luft vertragen. Man sieht, dass alles schon älter ist (Teppich auf Treppe ist teilweise mit Klebestreifen repariert, meine Zimmer hatte keine Klimaanlage und der Geruch war z. T. Streng, Zimmersafe war aus dem Schrank entfernt) Nutzung des Leisure Centers kostet...

"We enjoyed this fantastic location and thought it was excellent value for money. Our only complaint relates to the Coffee machines at breakfast. The coffee was tasteless and needs to be properly percolated with a better quality of ground coffee beans. Table service for coffee would be much better."

"This a brilliant hotel and could not fault it. The deluxe rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was really good and the items were hot and the area was immaculate with staff clearing away all the time. The location was perfect, very central and I would have no hesitation in staying again at this wonderful hotel. It is definitely a 4 star standard so well done to Maldron hotels"

"Great location and nice pub. Parking on site is very limited but there is a large public car park very close. Staff were fine. One or two smiled and were friendly but the rest seemed quite miserable although they did the job effectively. Cleaning staff in the accommodation were lovely. Food was functional but after the first night didn’t bother eating there again. Downside was our room. It had a lovely view but was in the rafters and getting in and out of bed was treacherous as you’d either bang...

"A beautifully maintained hotel in lovely surroundings with a great spa and only a short distance from many attractions."

"Hotel was modern, clean with excellent facilities. Just a couple of pointers. The two rooms our family occupied had not main lights and one had a lamp and the other didn't. Other internal phone didn't work for room service so used hotel's internal WhatsApp to order. Breakfast was excellent and catered for all diets (including vegan and vegetarian)."

"No air conditioning in rooms. Big problem made worse as windows restricted. 3 terrible nights in sweltering heat. (Ironically the lobby is cold). No cold temp water pressure at sink nor in shower. Barely a trickle."

"Very handy for the stadium and student parents staying over. Only stayed one night for a nearby wedding so didn't really use any of the facilities. We moved rooms as club across the road is so noisy, it can be heard in the front rooms. Second room was a big upgrade and very quiet. Staff were very helpful in this respect. Avoided breakfast at £19.00 each and walked to the Greggs instead. Parked at the Temple car park which was very reasonable but not ideal if you are unable to walk too far or...
