"The classiest hotel in midtown — classier than The Plaza. If you are looking for old world New York, this is the place to stay. My wife and I stayed for one evening for our wedding anniversary and the staff were very helpful. The breakfast is exceptional, too. Spending money at The Pierre is well worth it. "The hotel space is nice. The wait for the elevator was outrageous. We waited easily for 15-20 minutes each time we needed to leave or return. The staff was unresponsive and unapologetic regarding this issue. I asked the concierge to help with reservations prior to arrival and she was unhelpful and neither communicated nor responded to my emails without several follow up emails asking for a status update. We waited for 30 minutes for the car and our luggage. The car returned to us dirty both...

"The property didn’t feel clean or kept up with. We had also called ahead of the me as my wife pumps and needed to freeze her milk and have away to warm milk for bottles. It took 3 calls to get an electric kettle and they were not helpful with freezing things."

"The rooms are nice size and the location is great, but this place has seen it's best days some years back. The majority of the staff was very nice but when we had an issue with the shower and called and were told they would be right up, we came back 8 hours later and no one attended to the matter. The carpet in our room was destroyed by an animal for sure and they cut a piece of the same carpet and just threw it on top. Not very professional. Spend a few bucks and invest back in your...
