Stayed at hotel during a business meeting nearby and found it beautifully situated, great and friendly staff, and much appreciated amenities, including a comfortable (and refreshment-stocked) 'living room.'

We chose this location as we wanted to do an early morning trip to Liberty Island. The location proved ideal as it was close to several subway stations and there was a choice of restaurants to eat in in the evening. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Rooms and restaurant were good.

We loved our room and the hotel. Bathroom was one of the cleanest we've ever seen - even the corners of the shower. Our room had double bed, table, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave. Love the free bottles of purified water and the guest closet - where the extra blankets, pillows, iron, coffee, tea, etc were kept so we could help ourselves when needed. COMPLETELY SKIP the "continental" breakfast - what an outrageously priced waste of time and money. $16 pp = 3 dry cereals, yogurt, muffins, bagels, cut up fruit (that was brown @ 9 am). That's it!! NO beverages...I wasn't even offered orange juice. Tea = $6. I suggest they get rid of it completely - it only hurts the hotel to be associated with it. Loved everything else. We are staying again next weekend - so we'll see if they are consistent. Our fridge didn't work, but we didn't need it to (we only had some sodas to keep cold) and told the management about the problem when we checked out. TV was situated for watching from the table rather than the bed, which bothered my husband but not me. It did not slide or angle out like at most places.
