I showed up at the hotel after my flight and Uber ride to find it closed! It was being turned into a shelter! No one at Expedia or Best Western thought to advise people who had booked it previously?! I was alone in NYC with nowhere to go, and it was impossible to reach a person when I tried calling. A very scary and unfortunate experience.

The shower sprayer was broken and there was no shampoo nor conditioner nor body wash left. Yes, nobody filled them up. You need to get them yourself at front desk in the mid of bathing. The air dryer is really gross and my hands were almost glued to the handle. The surrounding area is super sketchy and there are a bunch of broken cars around. I can’t think of anything good of this place.

This hotel is literally under the A train. It's deafening. Not a good night's sleep. Also, we stayed in room 508, and when we locked the bolt on the door, it got stuck. The front desk person tried with all her might to unlock it, but she couldn't get it to open. It was really scary. What if there had been an emergency? Eventually, I forced it open, but then we couldn't fully lock our door that night. I'm really disappointed. At least the service was good.

The breakfast food was fine but I disliked the disposable plastic cutlery and paper plates. Eating with silverware and real dishes is a much better dining experience and better for the planet. Please make this change! Thank you

Not even 3 stars. We arrived late around 11 o'clock. There was a really weird person on the counter. They gave us a room with people in it already. When we brought the keys downstairs they did not even apologies for their mistake.

Room too small. Had to walk sideways past the bed to enter the bathroom. Had a problem with the key. Apparently the door was double locked according to the hotel employee. He had to go to the door with us and follow some instructions (via his cell phone) in order for the door to open. My sister and I entered the room 45 minutes after we had checked in... not good at all.... Positive things: good shower, breakfast.

Weekend family trip
Check in was smooth and parking right behind the building was good. In my overall opinion any place you stay should be extremely clean and well cared for. The bathroom could have been cleaner. There were dispensers for soap and shampoo in the shower. The body wash one was not even filled and the conditioner one did not even work. Ran out of tissues. Towels were nice. Bed was nice and comfortable. The carpet in the room overall was pretty gross. Good thing I brought my slippers. The back of the door needed to be cleaned as it looked like something was thrown at it and splattered all over the back of it. In this post covid age everything should be wiped down. The location was decent as I was trying to find the closest hotel near family. One last thing…as we came in later on Friday night we entered the lobby to find an older gentleman sitting at a desk with a security hat and coat on who was fast asleep. Not very comforting to see this is who is providing security. Overall I would stay here again. Just addressing those concerns would go a long way.

OK stay at a reasonable price
We stayed two nights. The king room was small but clean, and the bed was comfortable. Multiple decent breakfast food options. There was very little space outside of the room to sit and read or relax. We overheard voices and TV in the adjacent room--the walls must be thin! The immediate neighborhood is not attractive.

The hotel feels fairly new; is very clean and well cared for. Over 5 night stay had excellent service at front desk and cleaning people. Best/broadest free breakfast options I've seen anywhere. Had to extend stay another 5 nights and didn't even consider another hotel. Also, close access to subway, a very nice coffee shop and fantastic Indian food.
