Lovely hotel with super warm staff

Lovely hotel near the city centre and not very far from the main attractions. I stayed in a suit, the bed was comfortable. The staff was super friendly.

I'm very happy with my room, interior is modern & clean. Loved the double sinks. Great location , short walk to the tram. Will definitely return if i go to Montpellier again.

Good option for families

Conveniently located near a tram and airport shuttle hub. Spacious and clean room. Nice pool. Delicious breakfast. Definitely family friendly.

Smelled like an ashtray, woke up soaked in sweat.

Got a room that smelled like an ashtray! Very strange indeed, especially since the booking included a 2 year old. We had to ask the receptionist for a new room, an got one that only got an old kind of smell. Founs out during the night that the mattress on the bed had this kind of air tight safety cover (maybe for kids wetting the bed, but this was the main double bed?) that resulted in waking up soaked in sweat as it did not breathe at all (combined with a almost non working AC.

The hotel needs to be renovated, the room that we had , was really in a bad condition. It also smelled like cigaretts have been smoked there. But the lady on the front desk was so nice and helpful.

Excellent location, great for accessibility needs.

Friendly, efficient & responsive staff, very good breakfast buffet, clean spacious room. We stayed in a ground floor suite with accessible roll-in shower. We were very pleased with the accessibility features — although the shower could use a small shelf for shampoo under the water controls, and 1 or 2 grab-bars placed so that a seated person could use them. Staff had to buzz us in & out through the parking area bc front entrance does not have handicap accessibility but that was not a problem. Excellent location close to the city center on one side & wooded river banks on the other, close to city trams as well as the airport bus stop. Lobby lounge is pleasant to hang out in.

Novotel - great service

A nice hotel stayand very convenient to tram system.While there were not a alot of restaurants around, found a real gem in the Antigone precinct.

One day in Montpellier.

Nice hotel , 7 minutes from the airport by car. The room was big for 2 parents and 2 kids, very old decoration but clean and comfortable. Several restaurants near by.

We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean and the staff warm, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and cleaned on a daily basis with a microwave and kettle (although worth bearing in mind there is no crockery/bowls etc provided.) My kids loved using the swimming pool, well maintained and clean. The location was ideal, a short walk from the centre of town or a few minutes walk from a tram stop. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

Great Location - Kitchenette and comfy beds

Great stay - the Airport Bus stops across the street from the hotel which is fantastic, this really should be advertised more. Room was very good, had a separate bedroom and a sitting room area with couch bed, kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Wi-Fi was fast and worked well. Price was reasonable also.

Awful hotel!

Very dirty cheap hotel. More like 2stars, I can’t believe they call themselves 4 and Sofitel allows them to use their name. And there is no restaurant just a snack cabinet.

Well positioned about a 15 min walk to old town. Tram stop 2 mins away. Bus from airport for next to nothing drops you 2 mins from hotel.

Very nice hotel , located very well , very tasty breakfast , but the bathroom was very small and therefore uncomfortable .

Another Good Stay

Value for money was ok but the hotel is looking a little old and tired compared to many of the other European Accor hotels I have stayed in. Minor annoyances: Access card key consistently did not work in the lifts and staff had to use their master card to give me access... not satisfactory. Bath/shower floor very slippery. Quiet location and very roomy suite made for a comfortable stay.

A nice budget hotel in Montpellier, with a great breakfast buffet, a pool and nice rooms. My only grudge was that when my bags were delayed by the airline for 2 days, my request to call them to get info and assist with delivery to the hotel, the manager refused to do so "cause there is a surcharge for the telephone number" - that surcharge turned out to be 10 cents per minute - hardly a good excuse to not help a stranded customer.

Fridge and microwave but no plates or cutlery. Staff slow to help, one member of staff couldn't open bottle of wine took 20 mins to get a drink only myself there no queue. Generally clean. Very average

Great Hotel

Last minute booking. Staf were amazing. We booked standard room and they upgraded to a lovely suite with lounge and small basic kitchen area with fridge and microwave etc. great oarking and worth the extra as it is very secure. Easy 5 min walk along river to group of restaurants and tram stop 5 min walk and few minutes ride in place de comedie. Wander around and walk the back streets, very safe, very noisy, very friendly. Beautiful boutique shops and zillions of places to eat and drink.

Pics of the rooms and the hotel is totally different, clean sheets and towels however nothing else and carpets, the overall look of the hotel was significantly old, as if nothing has changed since last 20 years and the overall price is not cheap at all

Affordable, easily accessible, centrally located!

Novotel Suites Montpellier is extremely easy to access when coming into the city from the East. Parking was easy, and proximity to the city's trolley system was excellent. Try to arrive before 6PM when the city's free parking begins and finding parking becomes more difficult. The hotel staff is very kind and offer suggestions on transportation options and local things to do. The suite for our family was spacious and very comfortable, with a separate bedroom for the adults. We loved this hotel.

Great room size but It is really a 3 not a 4 star

The major down of the hotel was bed which was very soft and thus not comfortable! Also no amenities in bathroom beside the soap!! This is really cheap for a 4 star hotel! The aircon which was so needed because it was hot in montpellier worked great in the living room but did not seem to reach the bedroom so it was really hot at night!!

Major problem with security. We left the 'do not disturb' sign on, and came back and found someone had been in. We tried to complain via the hotel telephone. The receptionist did ring the room cleaner, who said it was a mistake, but appeared nonchalant and not very interested. When my son tried to explain why it was important to us at the time (on route traveling, not unpacked and no need of sheet change) she just raised her hand and said it was just a mistake. We felt that there was a lack of committed customer service. On eventually getting to speak to the Manager, she did appear to understand and did apologise.

it was convenient to the city centre and station

It was efficient, the staff were courteous. The hotel itself was clean but shabby, not what I expect of a four star hotel. Breakfast was entertaining - all about the corporate image and cold efficiency. Not a vast choice but it did the job.

Nice hotel close to Place de Comedie

Checked in and found out they had upgraded our suite which was unexpected and appreciated (it was actually our honeymoon). Room was very big and comfortable. Furnishings were a bit IKEA like but I found the bed very comfortable and TV great (found some English channels at night). Good location close to the downtown square where all the action and great old buildings are.we felt safe walking at night.

found we had to pay for coffee: none in small room; bedside light required walk to door to turn off overhead light which also means that to read entire room had to be lit bothering the other occupant. staff pleasant we found that there were other hotels at similar prices located within (rather than off) the shopping/old town area. they are much better choices.

no value for money.

very simple room, a lot of noise, i could hear everything outside.shower is very small and tight, if you are not skinny you wont feel comfortable, i expected much more for this price.
