"This hotel is very charming and old-fashioned in the best way. The rooms are spacious and modern, but the outside look and feel of the hotel is very quaint. The extremely helpful young woman at the front desk seemed to know everything about the island and was able to answer every question we asked. "The location is excellent and having direct beach access is definitely a major plus. Unfortunately, the property itself is in need of significant improvements. Our room had a strong humid, musty odor that was very unpleasant. We had to sleep with the windows open because whenever the room was closed up, opening the door would bring back the heavy smell immediately. The walls and carpeting also appeared worn and unclean. While the location is wonderful, I don't think I would stay here again...

"The property and rooms are very nice. Very lush and beautiful landscaping and easy walk to the beach. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The issues that we had is that the air conditioner in the room was either not working properly, or undersized for the room. We had it set at 68 and it was hot in the room. We tried to turn it down to 66 and eventually 64, and I have a temp meter and the room was reading 80 degrees at night. It was very uncomfortable to sleep. We couldn't open the windows...

"My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was truly incredible. So many amazing restaurants within a walkable distance, which we preferred since we didn’t have a car, and Whalers Village has a ton of great stores as well. Would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone and is extremely family friendly."
