“Good hotel with a good location”

We were very happy with the Space Hotel. We had a room with ensuite bathroom and were very happy with it. There is construction in the lobby, but we knew that from the reviews. The hotel is centrally located and the staff were very helpful. There is a bus to take you to and from the hotel.

“Cleanest building I've ever stayed in”

Welcoming staff, not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, great city views from upper level, beautiful kitchen and other facilities, excellent security and competitve prices especially for a single room. Not a place for backpackers' camaraderie or revelry, but for me it was perfect after a late concert, and an early start in the morning. Will stay there from now on.

“clean, safe, affordable”

I was only at Space for a few days but I was really impressed. Yes its a few dollars above the lowest price hostels but you most definately get what you pay for. Space is clean, and I do mean clean. The sheets are clean, the blankets are clean, the bathrooms are clean. I didn't use the kitchen so I can't comment on that. Each bed comes with its own locker which you can padlock so rooms are neat, tidy and secure. The bathrooms are individual shower/toilet rooms so theres no awful locker room experience and people tend to be more responsible because of this. Staff were friendly mostly but very busy so you had to be a bit more persistent than usual -but this is just a tip not a warning. This is not a grungy party backpacker sharing beds type hostel. This is a nice clean quiet safe hostel, it may lack 'character' but it also lacks cockroaches :)

Brilliant. Exactly what I was after. Great location, great services, so clean and staff very helpful. Literally the only complaint I have was that water in the shower was cold every time I went in, but everything else more than made up for it. I would definitely stay there again.

“Great Trip”

I have stayed in other backpackers in melbourne, but this one is no comparision. In terms of facilities it is outstanding. The location is good, super close to Melb Central and the room with ensuit was clean, neat and had a great view.
