“Best of both...”

This hotel was conveniently located in a more traditional residential neighborhood, and was about a 5-10 minute scenic walk to the large casinos in Macau. Staff was very attentive, and room was excellent. Great room service, and staff was very helpful when using the business center.

“Comfort without crowds”

A comfortable place to stay in Macau where crowds are not an issue. The Royal is just a short cab ride away from the casinos and all the other attractions of the island. The lighthouse park is a 5 minute walk and is a great place to take a relaxing stroll.

“A good hotel in a convenient location”

Hotel was better than expected. Renovations had overrun so were ongoing, but care was taken to minimise disruption and noise. Staff were efficient and helpful. Although slightly away from other hotels, the centre was within easy walking distance. Hotel runs a free shuttle bus and public transport was also available on the same road. Altogether a very comfortable and pleasant stay.

“BEST DEAL FOR YOUR MONEY IN MACAO!”

This hotel is the BEST DEAL for your money in Macau: the most polite, friendly and helpful staff on Planet Earth; great rooms with king size beds, very well keepd and cleaned; great location, within a 10 minute walk from the main casinos (or you can ride their shuttle). Next time in Macao, i'll definitely stay with them again! PS: they even got me the best seat at the Venetian for Cirque Du Soleil's ZAiA.

“Great Western-style hotel”

A very nice hotel, centrally located to downtown, casinos, and tourist attractions. Very large and clean rooms. Nice comfortable soft beds.

“Best buy and convience”

Hotel was all and more than I expected as compared to hotels of equal or higher rates. Great buy. Staff service outstanding. Extremely helpful. Excellent communication skills for those who speak and rely on English. Hotel shuttel very convenient and helpful. This includes to and from the airport. Many sites are within walking distance for those willing to walk 15 to 20 minutes. My wife, teenage daughter and I never felt insecure in any of the walks we took over several days. When walking, finding some who speaks English for directions will not be easy. Request a higher floor and a room facing the front of the hotel and you will have a nice view of a park adjoining the hotel.

“Cheap alternative to Casino Hotels”

Overall, not a bad place to stay in Macau. Inexpensive taxi service makes the entire city pretty accessible. Within easy walking distance of Casinos. Casino in hotel not great, but has some slots. Quality cheap alternative to more expensive Casino hotels. Does have shuttle service.

“Nice little gem in the middle of the city”

My brother and his family had stayed in this hotel and recommended it to me. I was not disappointed. It is not the flashiest or the biggest hotel but it is clean, newly (and tastefully) refurbished, and the staff are nice. I have stayed in many hotels in my life and my experience with this one has been one of the most pleasant. Great thing about it is that you can walk to the casinos (e.g. MGM, Wynn) and to some of the major tourist sites (e.g. church, fortress). To get to Taipa (Venetian, Galaxy) all you need to do is jump on the hotel's shuttle to the ferry station and jump on whichever free shuttle you need to take to whichever casino you want to go. The biggest plus for me is that by staying in this hotel which is in the middle of the city, you get a better feel of Macau as you walk along the streets.

“enjoy like a king”

Extremely clean and cosy. The air in the room is fresh, won't feel stuffy. Get a free upgrade to premium King. However the mini casino is quite disappointing.
